Just letting off some steam about my day with Triond. Hopefully the commenting will go better…
Ever have one of those days where you just want to look for a new writing site?Today I am having one of those days!
Last night I integrated my Google account with Triond and it was the worst mistake I could have made. I assumed that I would be getting the same rate of pay as I was from Triond whereas they still have the same amount of articles on my page plus now added Google articles, however;my rate of pay dropped dramatically even when adding them together! I am making 60% less. For articles I had 80 hits on I received one cent from Triond, the ones I received 20-30 hits nothing from triond. Adding your Adsense account is one thing I would not suggest doing. I cannot even remove it which is the worst thing. I have contacted them but we shall see what tomorrow brings perhaps it is just an error on Triond’s part and it is not reading properly.
Also I just submitted an article I worked on for 2 days and just had it declined because of duplicate content, however the content they are saying was duplicate is from 2 articles I wrote on healthmad and not even the tiniest bit alike. They are completely different subjects and not even one sentence matches. The only thing that is alike is the copyright symbol I added and the links!!!
So as you can tell yes I am rather frustrated,no angry would be a better word, two things in one day!I hope triond will resolve this issue and soon because otherwise this gal is going to start looking for another publishing site! They did this duplicate content thing to me last week as well with a series of articles I had written in gardening only for them to look into it and publish it 4 days later.
I am letting off steam right now but come on triond what has happened in the last month!!It seems like never ending problems and it has really only been in the last month.

One thing I noticed in Triond sometimes the earnings do not get updated immediately. It is updated after a few days on the article. Also the amount in the next payment gets frozen after a certain cut off – so will see increase in the months earning but the next payment amount doesn’t change until after the payment.
October 30th, 2009 at 4:49 am
yesterday something went wrong with the payment updates, as mine wasn’t updated at all … the adsense tie-in had absolutely no effect on my income per article, it’s just a bit on the side …

Perhaps we could organize. The International Amalganized Disgruntled Writers and Screen door Manufacturers Union. We could threaten a write-down strike. Actuallly, in the absence of a full-fledged audit no one will ever know if we are getting our exact 50-50 share of ad revenue.

Thanks for your comments!
I would like to say I thought it was a bit on the side to, however; as stated since adding Google for an article when I would have made 10 cents on from triond I made one cent and others that should have made 3-5 cents, made nothing.I have over 100 articles here and that all adds up. I am a member of the satisfaction community and apparently they have picked selected writers to try this, a few at a time, they have done this for a reason incase it does not work properly….Again it may have just been a tech error. It does take a full day to read, obviosuly I am not new here so I know that but it was over a full day period that I am talking about.

lol I’m with you Ken!Triond really isn’t about they money but in the last month it has been consistant errors when concerning me,this is yet just two more to add to the list. Don;t get me wrong when I report these errors they are always helpful and do look into it sometimes… never when it concerns money but if it concerns publishing an article they will look into it. I did find out about the tracker, apparently you only get one hit per day from one ip address so even if someone were to visit you article five times in one day you will still only get one hit.
October 30th, 2009 at 5:23 am
I’m with you on this. I noticed that my stats have not changed the whole day. I guess there really is a bug in the system. Yesterday there were sites I couldn’t comment on. I hope this gets fixed asap.

HI
Thank you about telling about the Adsense from Google.
With new feature supposdly and in the formums it was suppose to be a good thing. I have not done and I do not think I will.
Yes, these last few days have been frustraing for me as well.
I still have one article in pending since Oct. 26 and this will my 4th e-mail wondering why it taking so long. I had another article in pending for 3 days this week after many e-mails back and forth it finally dropped into the published arena. I also had problems leaving comments the other day as well.
Thanks Lee Ness

I’ve been banished by Google and AdSense, so I can’t sign up for it again in this lifetime.
I get frustrated when I re-write an essay I had posted before and I get this message saying that I have duplicate copy on the internet.
I feel your pain and frustration.
October 30th, 2009 at 6:32 am
Wow, I had articles too that they said were duplicate and now I wonder if they really were. They are in the HealthMad too and completely differnent articles. I did not know I could argue with them. Thanks for this extra tip. You go girl. We have to fighting for our articles and keep Triond on there toes.
Thanks Lee Ness

Everybody is suffering from this phenomenon. The reason why I got 3 articles published the same day yesterday was mainly due to that “quarantine check’. I have even erased some articles I submitted for days because it wasn’t acted upon without any notice whatsoever. Speaking about duplicates, it seems Triond’s cyber-editor is corrupted. We could only hope for the best to come as we get the worst unfold. Be patient, Tanya.
October 30th, 2009 at 8:10 am
Oh my! Who wouldn’t be frustrated after something like this. I am glad that you shared your experience Tanya. I am new to the world of writing online, and keep trying out new things. This is one thing I won’t try now.
October 30th, 2009 at 8:47 am
Guess its not just me going through another bout with triond.I dont care about the money made but I do about getting published.
I had 4 in pending and 2 got dropped in a reasonable amount of time
I thought.the other 2 was in there fore days and I eventually just deleted them to rewrite and republish later. And they were just poetry,a story might take forever. And there are things I hae read and would love to comment on,but I cant and that frustrates me since it was good work by the author.
October 30th, 2009 at 9:10 am
Thanks for sharing this information. It is of concern.
October 30th, 2009 at 9:28 am
I had problem to comment on some articles on Wednesday too, but on Thursday the problems were settled. Still not really familiar with Triond. Anyway Tanya, hope by now, your problem are solved.
October 30th, 2009 at 10:36 am
You have a great point thanks for getting the word out there!
October 30th, 2009 at 11:33 am
Ugh! What a headache. I still haven’t had the option to add my Adsense account. Sounds like maybe I shouldn’t worry about it.
October 30th, 2009 at 11:52 am
May be this bug will be solved as soon as possible
October 30th, 2009 at 12:20 pm
I’ve got a poem that I submitted and is till waiting publication. I have no reason as to why they are taking so long with it. I’ve had 2 other articles submitted since then that are not posted. What gives? Anyway ~ glad you wrote this. I completely understand the frustration.

I wrote that wrong. Those 2 other articles are NOW posted. Is what I was supposed to write. Guess my fingles are tangled up again.
October 30th, 2009 at 12:33 pm
Hmm..I have had articles rejected in the past because Triond insisted that there was duplicate content elsewhere..the question is..how do they determine this? It beggars believe that within a 24-hour period (the time it normally takes for an article to be published)..they can sift through trillions of gigabytes of information to verify that your work isn’t in fact a dupilicate of something else.. again..how exactly does Triond classify duplicate content? I understand your frustration and anger Mystify. I think Triond will always hide behind a veil of duplicity..it’s in their best interests BSEG. Adsense..hmm..I hope you’re wrong..I got sucked into it >:-(

Very interesting article… something to think about!
October 30th, 2009 at 2:24 pm
Wow! that is really strange. I had a similar problem but it was not about the Adsense. It was about my articles being published 4 days later. I hope things get better for you Tan

I had the same experience with one of my articles not being published right away. I think the increased readership in Triond has made their hands full to address author’s problems.
I bumped into a website talkreviews.com, entered Triond.com to review site and saw that there was a sharp increase in unique site visitors since June 2009. Triond readership has increased from less than 100K to more than 350K in just 3 months! This must have caused some significant changes in their system. The other problems must be rooted on this development. It might also mean that they should hire more people to cater to writers’ needs.

Thanks everyone for your comments and support! I have been writing back and forth with Triond in the satisfaction community and it is an ongoing thing.I am happy to report the amount I am making is closer to the amount I was making before google, however;it still does not justify yesterday and I believe if they actually looked into it they would owe quite a few people some money from yesterday who added the adsense.I think today they may have fixed the bug…I hope anyways…I will keep on them about it!
As for the article, that is still being looked into or rather in lingo so we shall see what happens with that.
I could lay down and say oh well that’s life, hopefully they will sort it, but I have never been one to take a slap in the head and just say aww well, I would rather them be notified to the problems at hand and do something about fixing them so it is a better publishing experience for everyone.
Cheers everyone!

Triond has the habit of pi**ing everyone off just lately…it’s a nightmare! What are they playing at!!!
October 31st, 2009 at 8:54 am
Triond, I guess, is like AC and Helium, they do not allow their writers to put their own ads, as they are merely paid per page views of their posts. Hence, no Google adsense is allowed. This only works for HubPages, which does not pay their hubbers per page views of their content.
October 31st, 2009 at 1:45 pm
Great article that everyone is interested in! Someone was asking me about adsense but I have it on hub pages and it doesn’t earn much, although saying that I have been neglecting it lately.

Mystify, I am not as informed as you are. I don’t know how you count every penny you make on Triond or adsense. It’s a mystery to me. I just look at the bottom line. I have articles declined all the time and sometimes they are in waiting so long I delete them myself. I had several Halloween articles that were still pending and I deleted them after Halloween was over. Some months are better than others, I don’t know why. As far as I can tell Triond is the best in spite of the glitches.

very nice article Thank you!!

I totally agree, I’ve been so disappointed I barely sign-in
November 3rd, 2009 at 4:01 pm
I’d noticed that stats and revenue totals are updated in fits and starts. As long as the money gets there in the end I don’t mind. I’ve found delays like this on many different systems. Even the massive systems like CCBill sometimes don’t update for a few hours and then suddenly everything appears at once. I guess stats are rarely genuinely realtime.
November 4th, 2009 at 12:04 am
I have had nothing “delayed” other than overnight. I had one article refused as “duplicate” it said it was published in POLAND and somewhere else, neither site was accessible.. Server not Found. Other than that I have had no other trouble. Digg will not accept links to articles from Authspot. I have noticed that.

This is good to know. Thank you for sharing.
November 4th, 2009 at 4:42 pm
And here I thought I was the only one that Triond was giving grey hair to. I wrote an article asking “So what gives…” with Triond and they decided that it couldn’t be published, because is the “offensive”…nothing offensive in the entire article, but it is sitting in my “revision” file and I waited for a whole week for them to publish a poem “Hey, Mister Banker”. I finally sent an e-mail asking what the problem was and it suddenly appeared published without an apology or an explanation. As for the money…I have no idea how they figure what poem or submission makes what. I’ve been posting bits and pieces on Triond for about two months now and am still sitting at less than 20 cents. Sure glad I didn’t give up my day job…oh, yeah, I don’t even have one of those…
November 4th, 2009 at 7:55 pm
Sorry to hear that you have had a problem. If you want to eliminate your problems on duplicate content then this site is your answer. All you have to do is copy and paste your article before submitting it to Triond and you will see what they see as far as your content. However, it does cost each time you submit an article. The cost is .05 cents per article. I would suggest if you are going to do this you should sign up for the premium.
The site is: http://www.copyscape.com/prosearch.php
I always run every article through “Copyscape” before I submit to Trinond. Best of luck to you!

Thanks again everyone for your comments! I have informed triond they are severely understaffed and they should have more employees to cater to our needs as writers so we can all have a better publishing expereince. Right now they virtually only have 1 employee in the help section named Estelle, who does do a great job but its obvious with the amount of writers there is as well as problems that she alone is not enough!
Thanks Jane however;there was no duplicate to my content triond was just saying there was because of a bug or something. There was nothing like my content and they were actually comparing it to my own articles here on triond that did not even go under the same subject nor subject matter. They were entirely different articles with nothing the same other then the copyright symbol as stated in the article here.
