If you are thinking of alternative places to submit your content, read this first.
Even if you are a writer at heart and would spend long hours writing for no money at all, there is something rewarding about getting paid for your labors. When I write it truly is a labor of love. Researching, verifying information, looking for just the right picture to clarify or illustrate my point is all part of the enjoyment. Having someone else read my point and understand where I am coming from is bonding. I have bonded with many writers at Triond. I feel as if they are a part of my family and they have grown to mean a lot to me. Triond was a place to get my feet wet.

I’ve had a short story published and a couple of poems, but this was different. I did not feel like I was selling myself and filling out a job application. I felt/feel validated and appreciated. My poems were published with no renumeration (prior to Triond) and the story garnered me $.03 a word. When they bought it, I lost all rights to it. They could change anything they wanted. It was no longer my story, but theirs. And once they paid me for it, there was no more pay forthcoming. They could use it as much or as little as they wanted. At Triond we not only get our work copy written, but we still own it.
At Triond your articles continue to garner you an income. Your audience is limitless and timeless, unless you delete the story. You own your story. They do not alter your wording. It is still as personal or impersonal as you want or as true or fictitious as you desire. You have the internet at your finger tips to use to your full advantage. If you want to bookmark it any number of sites, it is your right, and Triond even makes it easy for you by placing a number of them within easy reach of your content. What if you don’t want to? It’s up to you also.

If you have submitted one of your articles to a bookmarking site you know how inconvenient some of the categories can be. I was trying to submit something to Digg the other day and there just was no available category to cover my topic. Triond does not limit us. Our topics can range as far as our imaginations can stretch, and they are always striving to add new areas for our content. This is the dream home for any writer.
Triond has added a new layout, new skin, and even an area to save our drafts of articles while we work to complete them. They work with our articles and place our pictures just so, then insert our links so that they are not the awkward long strung out one we copied and pasted from our browser. They update our earnings each day so we know just how much we have earned daily, and which article is making the most revenue, and post our comments where we can save or delete them. I like the community where I can message other writers outside the viewing public in case I want to ask advice or offer any one on one (more likely ask).
Triond allows people from all over the world to contribute and get paid. Triond provides us with a cultural exchange like no other I have ever known. I studied sociology in school and took two classes in college but it never gave me the perspective available from actually getting to trade information directly from someone across the globe. It has created a unique sharing with people from all walks of life.

As I have noticed that my earnings at Triond is slipping, for whatever reason, I have tried different bookmarking and networking sites, and then found another writing site, which pays for articles. While Triond still remains my favorite for all of the reasons listed above, here is a quick overview of eHow.

If you decide to meander over to eHow for a spell, don’t forget your family and home are still at Triond. It’s a nice place to visit but there’s no place like home.

Excellent article!

This is a valuable piece of writing,I am a Triond fan, I enjoy reading other works on view, this article lays out exactly what Triond is all about.Judy I changed a title on one of my articles and it started earning,it was going to be deleted by me if it didn’t show any signs of life, so I thought maybe I’ll give it a new name and hey it worked, just an idea for you
August 24th, 2008 at 7:04 am
Great article, Judy! Triond is the best home for me too!
August 24th, 2008 at 8:50 am
Chan, Glynis, and Icy, thank you so much for your input and encouragement.
Glynis, you are right. I have chosen some titles which I thought were catchy, but just did not invite my readers to click on my content. I changed one once and it did help. It’s better to let the reader know what your article is about than to try to be cute.
Take care & God bless

Triond is definitely my place. I have decided not to blog about certain things on other sites, so I could post it here on triond. Wonderful article!
August 24th, 2008 at 9:30 am
Gerlaine, thanks for your encouragement. I don’t have to sell Triond to us. We love it here. lol
August 24th, 2008 at 11:18 am
I know what you mean about the earnings. I have recently tried to change some titles for maximum viewers so we’ll see what happens.
August 24th, 2008 at 11:43 am
Triond is the best home for me too! Any one (non-US citizens too)can earn by publishing their articles.
August 24th, 2008 at 1:12 pm
Great article Judy, and so true too. The only thing about us writers living in England, is that we get paid in US dollars which means we get paid about half of the value of what we earn. For instance, if I earned $80.00, it’s worth about £40.00 to me.
Still, I love Triond too!
August 24th, 2008 at 1:32 pm
Hi Judy, i agree with everybody, there’s no place like triond(home,
August 24th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Valli, Anne, and Nobert. eHow is losing valuable input because many of our non U.S. citizens have outstanding content. I would truly miss you guys. They need to explore their options.
Thank you so much for reading and encouraging. At this point, I would be happy with $40.00, not that I would stop and sit back. lol. We can’t put our pens down!!
Take care and God bless.

Wonderful insight, Judy. I too cannot go without visiting and maybe submitting a new article to Triond at least a few times a week. Well, I visit nearly every single day, but I do not submit nearly enough work as I should.
I have written for other publishers such as; Helium, Associated Content and Review Stream, but none of these other publisher either pay or result in enough views to keep me encouraged to continue writing for them. Triond, is a great place to write for and as you have already illustrated, they have taken most of the hard work out of the picture. They have made it so that writers can write and if the article is really excellent, then chances are really good that the readers will find it interesting enough to submit them to the social networks that they belong to.
Great article and keep up the good work. I have stumbled this most excellent article and will be writing a review about it at stumbleupon in a few minutes.
God Bless,
Nelson Doyle

Nelson, you are so kind. I truly appreciate it.
Your content is always quality, but sometimes life is too hectic to shake the many demands thrust upon us to sit down and write an article. Yours are well worth the wait, and most of them I submit. You can find them in my wikizine at Zimbio.
Take care & God bless.

Judy,
Thanks for sharing your article. I have not looked at posted in any other site. I agree that the writers at triond are very friendly.
August 28th, 2008 at 6:43 pm
I liked your article and your passion for writing. I love triond for the same reasons. I can’t believe I actually make any money for doing something that I love so much. It has encouraged me to do more with my writing than I would have before.
August 29th, 2008 at 1:41 am
I enjoy writing for Triond. The income is pretty minimal, but I do get comments and enjoy making people laugh.
August 29th, 2008 at 6:28 am
RJ Evans, Chris, Josey, and Steven, thanks for reading and supporting me in the thoughts and work. Can you call writing work, when you love it so much?
Josey, I agree with you wholeheartedly. The three “Rs” keep us here – reads, recognition, & royalties. lol
Thanks, all, take care & God bless.

A great article which has encouraged me to keep writing for Triond. I visit every day and am finding the results exciting.
September 1st, 2008 at 10:12 am
Judy thanks.. I had not a clue about this stuff. I just stumbled upon Triond one day, I may have to change titles too.. still the new “kid” on the block though.
September 1st, 2008 at 2:49 pm
Christine, and Penny, thank you for reading and commenting.
Christine, I am glad you are encouraged, and hopefully you will remain that way. It keeps me excited!
Penny, it’s hard to remain the new kid of the block because Triond adds new faces daily. It is exciting to welcome them aboard and find out what fresh content they have to offer.

Hmmm… I don’t about eHow and AC, but what I like best in Triond is the supportive community
October 3rd, 2008 at 9:57 am
Triond is a great place to learn, also. There is always very interesting articles from which something can be learned. Most writers are supportive and friendly, but I have run into very rude writers who seem to not know how to deal with subjects that they disagree with, to which they write very nasty and hateful comments. Triond is not a place to expect great fortunes, but it is a very good place to express yourself and then see how others react to what you write about.
October 3rd, 2008 at 12:26 pm
Mag & Westbrook, thank you for your kind words, and I like to think that the rude comments I see posted are not only few & far between but from immature visitors. It’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
Take care & God bless.

Now that’s better. I changed the singular verb “is” to “are.” I know it’s nitpicking, but we writers all make mistakes when writing in a hurry and because we are conscientious, we like to correct them…Smile.

I could not get warm with Triond yet, but will give it another trial when I read your inspiring article and the beautiful comments. I guess I have not invested enough time yet.
June 22nd, 2009 at 6:41 pm
I have not earned much with triond, but your article has given me hope to write more for them!
July 14th, 2009 at 10:50 am
eHow said that I would be able to publish articles for them but I would not get paid because I am not a US resident. I like writing, but I really do not see the point of letting them publish my works and get nothing for my time and effort. I don’t know why anyone would.
July 15th, 2009 at 7:27 am
I just started messing with ehow but I’m not nearly as impressed with them as I am with Triond. I’ve been here over three years now and this really is my place. I’ve watched this site grow and improve and yes they are international. But even better, they are innovative. They constantly change and upgrade things for the better and provide more tools to succeed than any other site out there.
Thanks Judy.

Koester, John, I cannot understand how I missed your comments. I apologize and offer my thanks.
Jedopi, and Armywriter, your support is appreciated.
Take care & God bless!

Hi Judy,
Thanks for the awesome article. I was about to sign up with eHow when I noticed your article and realized that they don’t pay non-US residents. I’m fairly new to Triond (less than a week) but I totally agree with your points above. And I’m truly grateful because Triond open doors for people like us to write and share our knowledge with the world and most importantly, get paid for the labor.
Cheers!
Faith.
July 23rd, 2009 at 9:31 pm
Faith, the other sites are missing valuable insight and talent. Triond is heads and hearts above on that one.
March 14th, 2010 at 8:58 am
An excellent article. The only con of Triond is it’s small earnings
March 16th, 2010 at 8:31 pm
The Only True Writer, It takes significant socializing to realize real income. This is time consuming, but does bring in more reads.
