Top 10 Free Keyword Tools for article writers, web developers and web owners.
Top Ten Free Keyword Popularity Tools
I was reading a great article the other day about writing 5 articles at once called Five Article Method: A Hands-on Tutorial by Athlyn Green and one of the many great ideas in the article was how to deal with choosing your 5 topics for the articles. Her suggestion was Wordtracker Labs’ Keyword Questions tool. This is a great tool, but as soon and I used it a few times I started to compare it with other keyword tools I have been using. I realized that there might be many people that do not really use these tools or even understand why you would want to use them.
People’s uses for these tools vary from creating ads, content, advertising and SEO to name a few. Internet writers use these tools to find out if the topic or theme they are going to write about is even popular. Why spend a day researching and writing an article if no one will ever read it?
These keyword suggestion tools have been very popular and websites are trying to improve them constantly. Here are ten tools you can use to help you decide on topics to write about:
1. SEO Book’s Keyword Suggestion Tool – SEO Books suggestion tool allows you to search how often keywords are searched daily on various search engines in one result set.
2. Self SEOs Keyword Suggestion tool – This tool lets you search by country and return daily results and popular phrases searched with that keyword.
3. Nichebot Wordtracker keywords Classic — Returns results for the past 100 days from various search engines and includes phrases with that keyword.
4. Wordtracker Labs Keyword Questions tool – You enter the keyword and it returns how many times questions were asked starting with the most popular.
5. Submit Express’s Keyword Suggestion Tool – Results show daily totals and various other popular terms that include your keyword.
6. Wordtracker Free Keyword suggestion Tool – Same as above but shows all results for keywords and not just questions
7. Google Search-Based Keyword Tool – When I use this tool I leave the website blank and just search a phrase like ‘hurricane’. This tool will give you an idea what searches were performed with that keyword according to popularity.
8. MIVA Keyword Generator – You enter the keyword; it shows you the most popular phrases searched over the past 30 days with that keyword.
9. Trellian Search Term Suggestion Tool – You enter the seed keyword it returns results .
10. We Build Pages Keyword Density Tool – Once your page, site or article is published use this tool to see if your keyword density is what you think it is. You might have written an article on hurricanes and your keyword density might say that your article is about emergencies.
Using Keyword tracking tools can help you find popular content to write about, but just because a topic is not popular does not mean to not write about it. I think it’s better if your writing can make unpopular topics popular. If you found any of this information useful, then why not leave a comment or better still, if you know of a worthy tool please share it.
