The best writing sites that pay for content.
Writing is easy. Just tear open a vein, and pour out your soul.
What could be less difficult?
In truth, some writers find it easier then breathing, while others struggle to put down their thoughts, feelings or knowledge. We write, because we love it. But there’s nothing wrong with making money doing what you love.
Fortunately, the internet gives writers everywhere an audience of everyone with a connection. Whether you are planning on making some extra cash, or turning it into a lucrative career, here are four great sites that not only pay you for your words, but sends them out there for anyone to see.
This is a great site for those who have never joined a pay to write site. They offer up-front and page view payments. You can submit articles on any topic you like, or pick up an assignment from the queue. To receive an up-front payment, your article has to be exclusive, written by you, and not published anywhere else. These articles also earn page view payments. You can submit any other work as non-exclusive or display only and receive $1.50 to $2.00 for every thousand page views.
Examiner.com is a writing site dedicated to your local city. They look for writers with knowledge on a particular subject in that location. Know the best restaurants in your area? Sign up to be the local Restaurant Examiner. Are you the one everyone comes to for relationship advice? Relationships Examiner would be a great job for you.
This site pays based only on page views. they don’t have an exact amount, as it varies depending on your views, subscribers, and other factors. Most conclude it pays about a penny per view, which would give you $1 for every hundred views.
They also offer a referral bonus program, that offers you $50 dollars for every referral.
So if you want to use my code (20557) I’m not going to stop you.

I’m brand new to the site, so I can’t tell you what the experience is like, but the great reviews brought me here. Triond takes the work and socialization out of writing. You write, they spread your articles around. Like Examiner, Triond doesn’t have an exact payment amount. They split the profits with you 50/50. How they make profits? Well, I’m not exactly sure, but they do all the work to get it there, so it’s a pretty fair deal. You can post any topic, even pictures and videos here, and they will find a place for them. The only conditions being that it is your original work, and hasn’t been published anywhere else.
Demand Studios pays you upfront for your work. I’ve heard the average payment is $15 dollars per artcile, so it’s a pretty good deal. They don’t depend on page views, so you dont have to socialize, or network to get your moneys worth. Each article must be original and exclusive.
To apply, you have to have a resume, a writing sample and fill out an application. Someone will contact you, generally the same day and let you know whether you have been approved. From there, the door is wide open. They also offer positions for copywriting and editing.
So, if you’re looking to get paid for your writing, try one (or all!) of these great sites.

Nice list. But AC and Examiner are not for everyone. They only accept US residents. Demand Studios only accept writers for hire, I think. On this list, only Triond welcomes everyone.

There are a few other sites you could look into as well. Helium.com, Constant content and ehow to name a few.
Nice article though.
