Over the past few days there have been weird periods on Triond where the entire website seems to have gone back in time.
Those pesky Triond gremlins were at it again this morning. Views tended to be up higher, then magically disappeared, and rather reappeared. As they did in the past on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday in the morning. Now I really don’t know if this is happening at the same time, but something like this happening each morning is a cause for great curiosity to say the very least. Perhaps a small amount of concern as well.
Earnings seem to be slightly down further than they were last month around this time but then again, we should all know the drill by now. The earnings are more likely to go down after a contest that Triond does. It is just as inevitable as the sun rising in the morning. Views tend to be what they are. I think that if you’ve been on this website for a long enough time, you pretty much have a good idea what you should be expecting and not to set your expectations too high.
Yet, it does seem baffling, everything appears to be in sync with views as they should be. Then boom, in a blink of the eye, the entire system gets put back to about how it was about eight hours ago. What’s really strange during this time is that normally it is just the statistics in the content section were so ever many thousand seconds behind and everything else was right on track.
The thing was they were right on schedule. Then they get put back to somewhere between six to eight hours ago. And everything, on the Dashboard, the News Feed, the Content, the Pending Content, every single thing on the Triond website. It just seems like the entire website went back in time.
Things did seem to settle themselves back to where they should have been a few hours later but still, it does boggle the mind. I don’t think this has ever happened before, or at least I have never seen it until the past few days.
Then again it is a consequence of poor programming and bad coding as it has been in the past. I’ll willing to except website crashes to a certain extent. Such is the nature of the beast of the World Wide Web. However, Triond has just had an entirely entire mess of problems with how this website works that just keep getting more bizarre.
I’m no programming genius but it does seem like something was poorly coded somewhere or the website server is not equipped to handle an above average amount of traffic. Yet we must wonder if the time traveling Triond gremlins will strike again on Thursday.

I have been writing here for a while and I have noticed that views and earnings tend to go up and down depending on the time of year. I do not understand it, but I have noticed it.

Correct observation. I also notice it.

Is it wrong for me to giggle at the fact that the Triond Gremlins put this article in automotive? They are pesky devils.
Yeah, I’ve noticed, the more I write, the less views I get. You would think I would be getting more views than I did 100 articles ago.

This website is screwy. For instance, I earned enough for a payout LAST month but it states that I’ll be payed Nov 10th, rather than getting payed 16 days ago on Oct 10th. Not to mention my earnings were calculated wrong. About 15 cents worth of this month’s earnings should have counted for last month’s earnings. How do I know this? Because my earnings magically went up at the start of the month without the views to show for it. Unbelievable.

And now, it seems as if this article has gone back in time. Since I posted, I know that other than my post, at least 3 comments have been posted. Now there are only 2. lol

I find this article very useful. I didn’t know the earnings went down after contests, but that would stand to reason. Admin has to pay out the winner with something. Other than that, I may as well keep in mind that this is the time I should be adding more content. However, doing that might compromise views. Plus, I don’t like irritating people with a bunch of “noise” being thrown at them at once. I always space my work out. I’m also thinking of reposting my articles on other websites to generate more readership.

Thanks for sharing your observation. No comment. Just keep on writing and be thankful for blessings that we received everyday.

Very insightful look on this issue.

My views for the view badge just seemed to stop for about a day and a half, even though I was certainly getting views. Then suddenly it jumped up to where it was supposed to be.

It seems to be part of the online writing game-I write for another site, and strangely, every day my views for each the articles that are looked at add up to either 1, or 2. Statistically that seems highly improbable.

I agree with your observation.

This hide-and-seek thing about the way Triond works is irritating. This is not your monopoly.

We will have to start taking periodic screenshots if that is the case:)
