The importance of writing articles that are 400 words are more. Triond can be like training school.
Triond is a great place to start out learning more and more each day about the best ways to help make the most out of each of their articles submitted.
Triond is great about letting writers submit articles of all lengths. Think of this as too good to be true. Articles that have under a 400 word count may not be accepted on other writing sites.
All the other writing sites I write on have a 400 word minimum except for poems and such. Try writing more articles that are at least 400 words. That way if you do join another writing site you’ll be able to easily display them with no altering needed.
Most of the short article submissions I have read are great. They start out with interesting paragraphs. Then, the article simply seems to almost fade the informative information away. I feel articles that start out on the right foot have great potential if the writer just ponders their thoughts a while longer on their topic of choice.
Great thoughts come to great thinkers. Think about what type of information you would want to hear if you were the reader. Think reader not writer. Then you’ll be looking at your article with objectivity.
I started out on ehow. I enjoyed this site very much. I had a lot to learn and still do. I later joined triond and met a lot of people who taught me about what I still needed to learn to become a great writer.
Around a year later I joined Helium. This is the first site I wrote for that stressed the 400 word minimum. I thought I couldn’t do this. I made mistakes and fell down sort of speak many times but always got back up and kept trying. I love writing and learning from all my cyber friends on all the writing sites I write for. They all have a great deal to teach me.
I also write on Bukisa. You can write articles with 250 words or more. Remember if you do this then you might not be able to put it on your other writing sites. Try to write them all a little over 400 words. You might not think it’s important at the time but it is, if you want to take freelance writing seriously.
The site I write the most on is Associated Content. They have many assignments to choose from. Writers can write for upfront payments on many types of articles. This site the word minimum is 350.
Writing here on triond can be more like freelance writer’s training if we choose to further our writing education to the next experienced level.

Excellent article. And the writing site I write for that pays the bills has a 500 word minium on articles so working up to 400 words is a great way to get training in.

I really don’t know how long my articles are. I know they’re short. If there is a word count button on Triond’s submission form I can’t find it. On my blog I just have to make sure my content is over 100 words. I’ve check Google and Google does pick up my content if it’s at least 100 words. I only have time to write for Troind and my blog. So, for right now I’m okay; but I know exactly what you’re saying and you’re right.

Thank you so much for your in sight, and all you have learned as a freelance writer. I try very hard to keep my articles light, easy to understand and yet interesting enough to hold them to the end. Great post.

Jenny, has ehow changed from 250? I haven’t submitted there in awhile. It’s hard for me to limit myself to fewer words. With 250 I’m just getting warmed up.

Correctly shared and useful, wish there was more time.

Great tips. Think reader not writer. It’s important to write good quality paragraphs and 400 words is good. I’ve heard from other writers that they don’t like to read if it is too long. But if they are going to be good writers, they must make it a habit to read.

I really like that statement, think reader, not writer. I always feel disappointed if an article stops as soon as it gets started. By writing a few key points before you start writing it’s easier to reach that 400 word minimum. Well written article, thank you.

Interesting tips. I always try to write at least 400 words. Not always easy to do so but I try.

I don’t think I have too much to worry about. When I write an article (which isn’t often), I’m usually pretty long-winded. 400 words is a snap!
February 19th, 2010 at 1:18 am
Oh yeah…. Triond doesn’t have a word limit!
February 20th, 2010 at 2:47 pm
I have been seeing a trend where article submission places are starting to relax the 400 minimum limit. I did a study in September of last year:
http://screencast.com/t/ZjcxMDliYmU
I did not include in the spreadsheet but Zimbio does not have a minimum, as far as I know. Nor could I find a limit on Amazines nor Articlesbase.

Yes, this is the reason why I like writing in this site. It can help you express yourself whether you have a short or long article, or whatever. Writers should not be constrained by word limitations. It’s great to be free to express yourself as you would. Nice share…
