I’m sure all of us have ever looked at Triond and thought “I wish Triond would implement (insert idea)”. Here’s mine.
I liked it when the Triond forum came out this year. I, however, was quickly put off by the large amount of spam that appeared in the forum soon after it got implemented. It doesn’t matter what time of the day or week that I pop in to check the forum, I’ll be sure to encounter spam before I even finish reading my third thread. I’m aware that staff moderators need to be paid, and that user moderators typically have to prove themselves via their activites on the forum over a period of time, which isn’t possible for a new forum. So far, the best solution that I have managed to come up with is a compromise of sorts, where every post by a user has a “Report For Abuse” button. Should a post get flagged by a large number of users, staff steps in to investigate the post.
I have actually wondered how it would be like to work on an article with another Triond user. While it’s certainly possible to collaborate with another writer and publish an article on Triond, whose Triond account to publish it on and how to split the earnings do pose a problem. I’m sure that writers who really want to work together can find a way to work around those problems, but still, it would be nice to have a Triond feature where a few writers could work on a single article and share the earnings and byline credit for it.
I have noticed that quite a number of Triond writers write on a wide range of topics. I’m not sure about the rest of you out there, but I do have people on my Triond friends list who write articles for certain categories that I have no interest in at all. I do like to read the rest of their work, but those that fall into certain categories just don’t interest me. It would be great if Triond users could set their preferences so that , say, only Computers and Internet articles show up for them. Or certain categories like Recipes and Women articles are excluded and won’t show up in your user panel.

I agree! Those would definitely be some helpful features!
