Improve your writing

The Triond Niche and How It Works for Me

Triond has landed me writing gigs.

Hundreds of new members have joined Triond in recent months.  What have been their motives?  Skill development, community, and cash – the very priorities that motivated me to join Triond last year.

Triond has fostered within me a passion for writing since my matriculation to this journalistic village in Fall 2008.  Stuck in the beginning writer mode for ten years, Triond’s benefits pulled me out of the muck and lifted me to new textual heights.

Develop Your Writing Skill With Triond

Triond affords the writer and the blogger the opportunity to develop his writing skills.  Publish whatever you want with Triond, but be wary because the whole world will see it.

Begin with your strengths as a writer.  Is fiction your best genre?  Triond readers love to read short stories.  Are you a poet but no one knows it?  You’re poetry is sure to find fast readership.  There is also room for the history buff, gamer, and the chef in training who wants to share her trusty recipes.

Triond enables you to venture out into new skill areas, providing a readymade community who will gently critique a sick article.  Whether you define sick as good or sick as bad, you’ll get the help and encouragement you need to develop as a writer.

Personally, I’ve grown in my ability to write opinion pieces, sports stories and social commentaries.  I’ve also developed a philosophy of writing that drives me to pursue editorial bliss.

Find a Writer’s Community in Triond

If you are looking to find a writer’s community, Triond is the place.  Fellow writers challenge me, encourage me, and walk with me on the journey to journalistic viability.  I give back to my friends by reading their work, leaving relevant comments, and providing encouragement to let nothing stand in the way of their development as writers.  I’ve also found the forums to be a great place to network and share ideas.

A master I am not, but Triond’s prodigies have improved my life.  Triond’s technological advances make it fun to watch total strangers and trusted friends digest my work.  Triond friends will rock your world, but be sure to be a Triond giver and not a Triond taker.

Make Extra Cash at Triond

I’m developing my skill and finding community at Triond but I am not making any cash.  Plenty of my friends are though.  Triond avails you the opportunity to make money doing something you love:  writing.

There are plenty of articles on Triond detailing how to make money.  The money connection for me has happened with other writing opportunities I would not have if Triond had not presented me with the chance to build my abilities and writing friendships.

I am now a sports journalist with regular baseball and basketball columns for ussports.com and their affiliated websites.  I could not have dreamed a year ago that I would be a columnist paid for my expertise in my lifelong joy for and pursuit of sports.  Writing for USSports would not have happened had I not honed my abilities first with Triond.

Find Your Niche at Triond

Whatever your abilities or hopes and dreams, Triond is a fun and beneficial community to find your writing niche.  Perhaps you’ll be on your way to becoming a famous journalist or hot fiction writer.  Or maybe you’ll change your corner of the world with your unique contribution.

    Hi, Brian:

I find that Triond is a perfect fit for me. It’s so easy to use. This counts for a lot. I’ve learnt a lot about marketing my Triond content on the Iternet from the articles of the writers in the Triond community. Triond is a good experience for me.

Congratulations on your new writing opportunities. http://www.writinghood.com/online-writing/how-to-come-up-with-more-great-writing-ideas/

Brian, how wonderful for you. I am so happy for you. Triond has also helped me. Because I sent my profile site web address with the query letters for my manuscript, I have a publisher who wants to see my manuscript and may publish my book. This is all because she viewed my work at Triond.

I should also mention that Melody once encouraged me to seek out ghostwriting opportunities. I’ve done that as well and it is profitable. Again, Triond has enabled me to craft my skill in an incubator community, allowing me to excel in other journalistic avenues. Thanks, Melody!!

Here is an article Melody wrote earlier this year that was beneficial to me: The Pros and Cons of Online Ghostwriting. Check it out: http://webupon.com/money-making/the-pros-and-cons-of-online-ghostwriting/

Hi Bry, thanks for mentioning that and of course for linking in my ghostwriting piece. There are indeed great writing opportunities out there, and am so glad to have found a number of good friends by engaging in online writing.

Triond is a good platform to get your work out to the world. Of course, the intention of writing here is not earning money instead, but to create a good rapport among the writers here. And Triond has fulfilled dreams for us to become writers here.

However, sadly to say, many of the new Trionders are being here for personal motives, which have definitely spoiled a good taste here.

Thanks and have my liked it.

It takes time to earn more money from your work. The thing that has been encouraging to me is that, you can submit an article to a site that pays you anywhere from $5-$20 one time for your work OR you can publish it on Triond and earn limitless on-going income FOR LIFE from your articles. My best article is only about 500 words and yet it has earned me OVER $400 and counting.

And, if you look at it like selling a book, each book on average is approximately $10/each – so it’s like I sold 40 books, from just one article.

You ARE making all your writing dreams come true.

    Blessings.

    Sincerely,

    -Liane Schmidt.

    Brian,
For me, my motive was to make money. While it currently still is, I found that the friendships I have made here are invaluable. Many triond writing friends here have given me a sneak peak into what there lives are like and I have found many things in common with other people. I have been thought many tips on how to market my material by Liane Schmidt, Lauren Axelrod, and Athlyn Green. I have learned different writing styles by all my good friends.
    blessings,
    Chris

Agree totally that Triond is a friendly place. And it has spurred me to write – a pursuit I liked, but lacked the discipline to take it further.

Wrting on Triond has reinforced for me the benefits of SEO. I have one article that is earning me more in a day than some of my other articles have earned in a year.
Without Triond, I would never have made the connection.

Very good Brian, some make some and some don’t (I don’t). But it’s the writing experience and community feeling that is more important than making money. Of course, one has to pay bills.

    Melody, you are most welcome.

Chan, you DEFINITELY have good rapport here!

Liane, appreciate your constant encouragement…and sharing your numbers. Wow, that is impressive.

Chris, there certainly isn\’t anything wrong with the money motive here. I think most of us would agree that a pure money motive, apart from writing ability and developing community, may not go too far on Triond. And great shout outs to your peeps!

Christine and Gail, thanks for reading.

Ruby, well, thanks, but I wouldn\’t call it BIG. I\’m keeping my day job :-)

Uma, great point on discipline. When I\’m active on Triond and see that some friends are not, I send them a note asking where they are. Who knows maybe something big has happened in their lives, or maybe they just need a nudge.

Carolyn, finding the elusive SEO benefits. Way to go and thanks for letting us know.

Rana, thanks for writing and sharing your experience, one we can all relate to.

    Thanks, everybody,
    Brian

I started writing on Triond because I had the time on my hands when I left work because of the Parkinson’s. I thought about writing a book, but then found Triond and enjoyed the feedback from writing short articles. At first I thought it would just be my friends and relatives reading them, so I was thrilled when I started having complete strangers leaving comments.

Brian, you were one of my first Triond friends, thanks for the encouragement to keep writing. I am so glad for you to be able to make a living from writing.
