Do you ever do this? You sign into Triond and hit the Content tab up top, then wade through page after page of articles, looking for new comments.
Once you have created a number of articles at Triond, responding to comments can become very time consuming. And you have to have a photographic memory to keep track of which articles show new comments.
The Triond Dashboard also includes Content Overview and this shows five of your articles and alerts you when someone has left a comment.
Either method allows you to see recent comments but both have their drawbacks. There’s a better way.
When you sign-in to the Triond Dashboard, hit Content as you probably already do, then, instead of wading through your articles, look over to the far right. You will see Comments on the second narrow grey-colored line.
Using Triond’s Comments Feature
Until recently, I somehow missed this button. It was there all the time but was invisible to me. In attempting to delete spam comments, I finally spotted the comments heading, clicked on it, and discovered a whole new functionality to Triond.
Not only could I delete nuisance comments but . . . the most exciting aspect was that I discovered that article comments miraculously showed! I immediately realized that all my recent comments were in one handy spot! Not only that, the articles that had received comments were listed conveniently over on the left. So if I wanted to respond to a comment, I only had to click on the article title.
I’ve been writing for Triond since 07 yet still discover site features that I’ve somehow missed. I’m sure there are other Triond writers who have also missed the Triond Comments feature.
Using the Triond Comments feature makes keeping up with article comments so much easier! You can see the most recent comments and easily respond to them, all from one location.
Note: the Triond Comments feature (grey line) should not be confused with the Comments section that appears on the third green line. The latter is the one I was using to check article comments.
* Please leave your comments and let me know if the Triond Comments feature also escaped your notice!

Well, I saw it and use it a great deal. What would make it perfect though, is this. I would like it if it hyperlinked to other Triond users. So, for example, if you left a comment on one of mine then if I wanted to I could go straight to your profile, take a look, maybe send you a message or read some of your articles.
At the moment we have to open the article again, scroll to the bottom and so on. I long ago gave up saying thanks to people for comments on the article itself, as people only generally read one once! So, to be able to do this would be cool.

yah, RJ Evans is right, how i wish there’s a hyperlink on the name of the commenter and not only on the tittle of the article. nice post.

I just so delighted that you wrote this helpful article. You are right, it is very time consuming to scroll through looking for comments. This will help a lot. Thanks for sharing it.

Good information. They should be paying you for offering up such useful data. Clearly they have a vested interest in seeing their sit eused to the fullest.

I like the idea of being able to access the commenter’s profile, so that writers can easily return the favor and comment on articles they find interesting. This would save so much time.
When you create a number of articles, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep up with all the comments.

I had noticed this feature before but I admit it took me a very long time before I had done so.

I have been using that comment tab to view comments. It is the easiest way in my opinion. I noticed that you can delete the comment, but I have never deleted one. I missed the forum for a long time….. I just never knew it existed. It would be good if Triond would put together a better user guide….esp for new users.

This is actually the only way I check my comments. I have the toolbar and it lets me know when I have a comment. When I click on it it takes me to that page. I love it
I wish I had never found the forum though
