Magnificent and mysterious title tips for your articles!
Naming articles can be a difficult and time consuming effort. Should it be long or short and to the point? How will people know what it’s about? Here are some tips to help you write titles for your articles.
Name them after you write them. I find that it works quite well if you don’t even worry about the title until after you first the article. Sometimes I name an article before I write it, and then change my mind and write something else, which leads to incorrect titles. Because of my forgetfulness of course. Not all of you suffer from amnesia so you’re probably asking how this applies to you. It’s harder to think of a good title before you write the article.
Spend a little time on it. A couple extra minutes working on a title won’t hurt you. In fact it’ll help you tremendously. A good title sparks interest. Try not to use a title similar to others. Use something that sparks interest, but doesn’t give too much away.
Don’t make it too long. A title that’s too long doesn’t look as good, or invoke the interest that a shorter one does. Whenever possible, I pick books that have short titles and interesting covers. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have anything against books with long titles, but I tend to think that the authors writing style won’t be as intriguing and to the point if the title isn’t.
Have fun writing titles and articles, and my best wishes to you.
