We all love a good story, don’t we? A lot of good stories, for example company stories, are well thought out and planned to be captivating and emotional.
Do you want to write a great story which captivates the reader from start to finish? Then keep reading!
PLOT: First, think about what should be the plot of the story. Without a plot, the story becomes dull and uninspired. If you find this hard, get some inspiration from other stories by reading them.
CHARACTERS: Another critical part of a great story is the characters. The characters are important because the story will be far more interesting if the reader(s) can identify with him/her/them, recognize themselves in certain situations that the characters are experiencing and so on.
Some famous type of characters in stories are: The hero, the beneficiary, the benefactor, the villain and so on.
CONFLICT: In the story, there should be a conflict. If the story just keeps on going and going without a conflict, it will soon become boring. By adding a conflict, the reader becomes interested in how this conflict will be solved. That is how humans work: We want solutions to the problems.
RESOLUTION: At one point, there will most likely be a resolution, where the conflict is solved. This is often at the end of the story, naturally.
Note that this is just basic steps in a story. There are far more to read on this subject which can tell you how to write successful stories.
I hope this was helpful!
Good luck!
