The Prince Got Her Heart Again

 A romance fictional novel by Barbara McMahon, Sheik Daddy reflects what’s usually happen in teenagers’ life exactly, American who have freedom on their own life. But this novel’s mixed with a different touch of an Arabian prince as a special lover which no one can resist his charm.

Megan O’Sullivan, the main character, is one of love victims in America. She got gazed of somebody named Ben who is actually named Sheik Roeuk bin Shalik, the charming Arabian prince. And not least Norrie, Megan and Roeuk’s daughter who has never met her father for about 9 years because of Roeuk’s father who blocks Roeuk to communicate with non-Arabian, such Megan.

This Sheik Daddy novel is written in a complicated plot, yet still lightly to be read. There’s not a flash back inside of it. The story begins when Roeuk comes back to Megan’s life. He has disappeared for 9 years, with no keeping in touch her. He doesn’t even know if Megan has ever pregnant of his little daughter, Norrie. Megan feels so betrayed of him. Many times Roeuk tells her that he also feels that loneliness without Megan, the woman who haunted his dreams. He makes it clear that it’s caused of his father who minds him to communicate with non-Arabian. Cause his father doesn’t want his bitter memories bout inter-nation marriage remained to his beloved son, Roeuk. He tells her, he has tried to contact her. But somehow that’s not used ‘till his father died, and finally he can go abroad to America then find back his sweet heart there. He said this way : “Megan, think, I know  where you live now, and you won’t be going anywhere. Circumstances are not the same, never will be again. I understand your hesitancy. You must understand my determination (Barbara 95).”

Fortunately, he really loves the daughter of him. He wishes Megan to let him getting closer with Norrie, cherishing love with both of them, and giving him chance to do anything wanted by Norrie. However, Megan still feels it’s hard,  life has been so cruel to her. Yet, she can’t lie her self. She still loves him, in other side Roeuk has tried to be the best father for Norrie. Until once, the day become so bad, and make her realizes that she doesn’t want live another ten years without Roeuk. Finally, she accepted his proposal of marrying her.

            You, people who concern of teenagers and woman life should read this Sheik Daddy. The life struggling shows, the characters of Megan should have been mimicked. She shows how a girl can be so strong with no love for years. Yet, she can also be so loyal on her  love, even if she feels so betrayed because of love she ever cherished by. In other side, we should see that love must be bounded and controlled. In order, love isn’t mistakable.
