The Greatest Gift

This is a reminder to all those who loyally follow my posts and work generally that I have some fabulous fiction works on offer, and I am just not getting any younger!

Thank you all – the many thousands out there in triond cyberspace who havechosen to be either to be my friend of a fan.  I really appreciate that support, but it could be stepped up a notch at this special time of year, if you felt inclined to do so. It is my birthday on June 13th – tomorrow – and I am hoping that you wonderful fans and friends will help me celebrate by logging on to - http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B006IYVA1K

This is my amazon author page, and the best present anyone could give me would be to buy one of my fabulous e-books – bargain priced short story collections to delight and entertain. I know that many of you will sigh – having already bought copies – but you too could help to make my birthday special by ACTUALLY finally posting those reviews so many of you had promised on the aforementioned authorpage.

I know that it might seem forward of me to yet again be touting my fantastic short=story collections, but it seems that many of you are unaware that you do NOT need a kindle device to get these books, but simply need to go to the kindle home-page, where you can download a free app. This allows you to shop in the kindle store and download direct to your hard-frive, so there really is no excuse for not buying other than apathy.

I will be 62 tomorrow, and really want to go into my 63rd year feeling optimistic about my writing fy=uture, which seeing sales of my books going up somewhat – even as the result of buyers wanting to help me celebrate my birthday – would almost certainly help to achieve. The books genuinely are good reading –  E.G. –  ‘Dancing with the Devil and other Twisted Tales’ is well worth a read.  Then it’s well worth another read – and another.  And at just under $3, it’s a snip.

Because the polish, precision and professionalism of each of these dark and ‘twisted tales’ is second to none.  I read each of them in ‘one eye tight shut’ mode expected from any great story in this genre.  And nothing was predictable – just as it should be. There sure were some twists in the tail of these ‘Twisted Tales’.

Each story grabs the reader’s attention from the very first word to the very last.  Tony builds the suspense so well – leaving the heart well and truly in the mouth!

I was tempted to say that the last story was the best – but that was only because it was the last one I read!  I have to say that all the stories in this superb anthology are…well…superb!

I have now had the pleasure of reading his second offering. Eternity and more science fiction shorts. Sci-fi is a hard thing to write convincingly yet Tony pulls it off brilliantly here.

In his first book, he wove stories of human pain, highs, lows and relationships, each one different from the next, and some quite thrilling and creepy. This new book also has these qualities, but set in futuristic worlds, and focusing more on relationships with different races, species, and the effect on humanity of a variety of different issues. Each of the stories flows well and once again I found it difficult to put the book down once I had started reading.

My favourite two stories, which would both do well as books in their own right, are Sweet Revenge and Cross to Bear. The fact that Tony writes a convincing story about Jesus actually being an alien sent to pillage humanity for his own race’s ends, and his own gained humanity being his downfall, and our strength is very, very clever and although it might sound weird, it really works! Reading this book for that story alone is highly recommended..

These are reviews by two different readers goes to demonstrate that the books are great value for money and superb entertainment, so help celebrate with me my buying a book and raising a glass to the future.
