The Curious Case of Mr. Rajeev Bhargava
Mr. Rajeev Bhargava is a Triond family member who needs our attention.
I am writing this article with mixed feelings. Many of you know Mr. Rajeev Bhargava who until recently was a very good friend of mine. I have known him as a true gentleman and a very humble person. He is an excellent story writer with great presentation skills. He is one of the earliest Triond members and a regular contributor. Few days ago he started posting some curiously strange photos and articles which caught my attention. Anyway, my curiosity made me click his newly posted article. When I went through the article, I was embarrassed to see Rajeev’s photo article depicting himself with a banana in a very strange position. I tried but couldn’t find some decent words to describe the picture (now deleted) to you guys. Anyhow I left a comment (using my freedom of speech) and said, “Rajeev i found your picture really disturbing and inappropriate. Please consider revising”. To my surprise, he deleted the article altogether. I thought Rajeev must have considered my counsel as friend and hence deleted the article.
To my utter surprise he again posted a picture article (no banana this time) which was again provocative (in a dirty way). Please have a look yourself..
So again I commented that I found his pictures in the article unsuitable against the title which says ‘Tips on How to Get a Good Night’s Sleep‘. But instead of showing any manners or respect, Rajeev dropped the following bombshell at my in-box.
I was shocked, hurt and surprised at Rajeev’s message. It went totally against Rajeev’s amiable and descent personality. Anyway, I replied in the following manner.
To my message, I received the most disgusting, stupid and abusive reply ever.
His reply made me think about his state of mind and why the gentleman Rajeev that I knew as a good friend was behaving like that. Such is the curious case of Rajeev Bhargava.
Dear readers, I ask you what should i do? I feel for his deteriorating state of mind and want to give him back his self respect. But I ask you out of the following, which is the best course of action for me?
1. Ignore his offensive message and delete him as my friend
2. Reply him and fix the issue.
3. Apologize to him.

He is India…….i m also an India…….He abused you in Indian language in messages…………..i think he is a mad man….some time ago i also added him in my friend list……but when i see his dirty behavior…. than i remove him from my friend list……….
So my suggestion to you is:
” Ignore his offensive message and delete him as my friend “

I don’t really see how his pictures on that article are provocative at all. He didn’t mean for them to be, and they only are if you are looking at them with a bad state of mind. What exactly is dirty about it? He’s lying in a bed showing different positions to sleep in. And as to why he was being not quite so nice, maybe he also didn’t see what was bad about it, and was just annoyed at you.

I respect your opinion but I disagree because I know it is ill-informed. He posted an article under the title “Good night time” where he had held a banana in his hand right between the legs and stuff like that. Someone commented that the picture is offensive and Rajeev had his article removed. Then again he posted his picture under the title “Preparing to swim” where he depicted himself in a very awkward (in his bed) position wearing his underwear. Again I was offended and this time I commented that the picture makes no sense at all. You know what happened? He deleted that picture and sent me a nasty message. And finally the above drama that is in front of you. So there is a pattern here. And when one has the courage to post an article with self pictures then one must have the courage to digest the opinion of the readers.

Did you read his replies that i shared and my response to Yerer0 above? he DELETED his pictures that were totally outrageous. You know what is missing in the pictures above? A banana placed between the legs. So i objected to those pictures and got the above weird messages from him.

ignore him, and keep writing as you have done for Triond. If he does not value friendship or good advice, then he does not deserve attention even. You have other better things to do. I hope Triond reprimands him for this.

I have never read anything written by him, but if he wrote a top quality works before and was of different personality than shown in those replies, then something really ugly must have happened to him. He certainly deserves to be helped, but I think there is nothing you can do about it. That being said, I would also advise you to ignore his behavior and possibly delete him from your friend list (or keep him there and see if he gets over his problems and changes back to normal in the future – I personally would rather choose this course of action if a friend started to act like this).

I hope this unhappy incident will not affect your writing in Triond. Whether it’s misunderstanding or whatever, it is always very painful, when friendship turns sour with conflicts or quarrels, and in some cases, no communication and yet friendship can fade off naturally, they are happening in life.

You know I really hate anyone who starts insulting at another person without being attacked first. I know it is a natural impulse to answer back, but really it is best to move on as Shariff said.
A similar thing happened to me once. No bananas or pictures or anything but in the same changing aggressive tone with a guy I used to exchange blog comments with… One day, he got mad at one of my movie reviews and started insulting me. And my blog. First I responded but then I realized it is against my nature to have a shouting match with someone. Sure, it is my own blog and I can say whatever damn I pleased, but it is how I want my comments to be. You can be negative, you can disagree, you can argue. but you can’t insult me or my point of view. or my blog. so I deleted everything, my replies too. the post is clear and I have peace of mind.

Please make the distinction between personal and private. This whole article is in a bad taste. Normally such messages I would have written personally to you but this one deserves a public reply. If his pictures were so obscene why did you put them here? Why monetize that?
So far as he is concerned, he may be foolish, and you hurt his ego and in his childish or silly way he has reacted back. But your ego has been equally SUPER BIG. So you wanted your share of blood and vengence by “exposing” him. What other use has come out of this. You come across as a very vain person, no less than Rajeev is. I would say, be a man. Delete this article.
