When I use Youtube on my ancient laptop, it crashes. That is why I love using Triond: it saves a draft so not all my work is lost when I need to include a Youtube film.
So far Triond is the only publishing site that has and on line editor that saves a draft, because often my computer crashes while I am working.
On the other hand I do feel that Triond is having a hard time keeping up with me. It might take longer than a day before my work get published.
I know I write a lot recently, about seven articles a day and starting with my “Different Sort of Pipes” collection of articles, that require Youtube are some media, I am happy that I can save some drafts on line, without have to copy/paste it all from my Word.
Still I noticed a lot of complaints on spam bots here on Triond. Maybe the publishing of my articles might take some more time, since Triond might be reading articles before publishing.
Why do I get this feeling?
Triond is losing writers, since some feel they earn too less here. If they use the quality content writers due to spam bots that use computer generated word art, this is not a good thing to them as well.
Writers are losing money on Triond, since Triond is losing money too, if they cannot publish readable articles.
There are a lot of foreigners here that do not have English as a native language. This also includes me.
On Helium I am used to having articles deleted for having too many grammar errors. Fact is I used my Word grammar check before I handed them in.
Than I started thinking: in Dutch there are sentences that are correct, but grammar check in Word considers wrong. If I correct them the way Word suggests, I get mistakes.
That is why I use common sense and read a lot of work, mainly from native English writers to learn.
But recently I had an article declined here on Triond and it matched the standards for Helium. This makes me frown.
Yes, there might be some read over mistakes in some of my articles and I am planning on re-editing some of my older work. Already fixed some articles.
I do not feel sad about it anymore, since I do see mistakes and typos in work of others as well and it might not effect the readability.
So I do not mind waiting long for publishing an article, if I know it might be to filter the trash that might downgrade the income of decent writers.

It admirable of you to have the drive to improve and keep improving your writing. We all need to do proofreading– whether seasoned or new writer. It is frustrating to read articles here on Triond that were obviously rewritten by software. There’s not a bit of decent effort in that. Keep writing, my friend.

Standards on different sites do vary. I have noticed a few of these software rewritten articles lately which are so difficult to read. I suppose Triond is doing the best it can to publish proofread articles. A good write.

I make it a point to re-read my articles once in a while and put my best foot forward whenever I can. I will appreciate though if other writers will also point some things which I overlooked. I do not use grammar checks because in many cases the suggestions are not what I intended it to be. I still go for my own editing. Nice post…
