There are thousands of people writing for the internet everyday, however, there is a core group of “real writers”. These authors struggle to produce quality work daily as they devote time and work vigorously. Often they see little reward for their effort, or they see their work stolen from them by the ever growing number of unscrupulous people out there, but they are not deterred by this.
There are many people out there who put a lot of effort into writing for the internet. Some publish on Triond, Associated Content, Dooyoo (UK) or on their own blogs. Others manage websites and write their own editorial, or publish on other sites. We are all different but there is one thing on which we will all be agreed. It is hard work to succeed at this and sometimes it is possible to feel alone and a bit frustrated with your struggle.
It is for this reason that I have prepared this list of hardworking, talented internet writers. If your name isn’t here don’t be offended as it’s not because I don’t rate your work highly, or because I don’t like it. I couldn’t include everyone or this article would not be finished before the new year.
This is my Christmas gift to all my writer friends out there. May you be successful and continue to grow and perhaps it would be nice if you could earn just a little extra money in recognition for your efforts.
Darlene was the first person to help and encourage me on Triond, way back in May 2007. She has always been supportive of me and everyone on the site and comes up with some very deep and moving poetry.
Toys From The 50’s and 60’s Do You Remember Them? History of Toys
and How To Look Thinner Without Dieting
are two of my favourite articles from her portfolio. (I am still working on this one. Must go back to article and check that I’m doing it right.)
Darlene has also published a great selection of photos including ‘Why I Won’t Kiss My Husband’ which gave us all a good laugh….poor man!
Anne is always supportive of everyone even though she is rushed off her feet with other writing projects. With a little luck we will see her book ‘Sunday’s Child’ in print next year. If you take a look at Anne’s profile you can find out where to read a sneak preview of it. Fascinating stuff which will leave you wanting more!
How To Know When You’re Getting Old.
This put me firmly in my place. At least I know what all those odd symptoms are now, thanks Anne. (LOL) ‘Then Anne told me to Foreget Gracefully: How Now to Age Period.
I was still working on the first one when this came along. Keep them coming Anne. Maybe it’s too late for me to turn back the clock but others might at least hold it back.
BC Doan
BCDoan seems to pop up everywhere. She really works hard at marketing her work. I bump into her on social networks like Facebook and Stumbleupon, Digg, and just about anywhere you can think of.
Her persistence with her marketing is a lesson to us all. At least it is for those who want to get more traffic to their articles.
Icy, (if she will forgive me for calling her that) is the name I always remember her by. She helped me a lot in the early days on Triond.
As for favourite articles, I find it hard to choose because there are so many on so many different topics. Look Younger Without Surgery is one of her articles that I found interesting but it didn’t work. Perhaps I left it too long. There is an old saying that ‘you can’t make a silk purse from a sow’s ear.’
I’m still trying.
Icy’s article on Allergies-Prevention proved very useful for me too.
There are countless others who make a great contribution to Triond and other websites. There’s RJ EVANS known to everyone for the sheer volume of excellent and original articles he produces.
Here are my favourites for 2008. I could have included dozens but these are my top three.
A Bird’s Eye View of Shakespeare by R J Evans
A Bird’s Eye View of Shakespeare
Gun Dongs are Shooting Their Owners by C. Jordan
C’mon Baby Light My (Bioluminescent) Fire! by thestickman
So, that’s my round up for the year. I wonder which writers will get your vote!

I agree with Glynis, Louie, your own name should have been among the listed writers. As you said, there are so many talented and inspiring writers here at Triond that it would be impossible to mention everyone. We know and appreciate each other and add new friends to our list almost daily.
It is indeed a wonderful tribute and I am humbled to be mentioned on your list.
