Tags and Twitter Hot Topics Important for Triond Articles

What you write in your Triond articles, of course, is important. However, to get more people to read them, get the most out of your tags. Have a really good title to your article. Also, keep an eye out for the hot Twitter topics when you post to see if there is anything relevant to your article.

Triond has done a very good job with tag lines for their writers and readers.  With Triond, you can see what tag lines have led people to your article.  Do not be shy with them.  Put as many relevant tags to your articles as you can think.  If you are like me, you are writing many articles on a given topic.  My mission as a weekend warrior is to run a half-marathon in two hours.  I was not thinking about “two hour half marathon” until I saw it as my hottest search phrase.  When I wrote my most recent article on my marathon running, I was sure to list that as a tag.    What I like with Triond is that let you list as many tags as you can think of.  Another website I used to use only let you use five.  Why limit?  I suggest looking at the site hillbuzz.org.  Just pick one of their blogs and look at their tag lines.  Their tag lines are almost interesting as their blog.

In addition, you need to sign up with Twitter and spend some time on it.  Triond gives you an easy connection to Twitter.  Just put your log in and password on Triond and they will post your article as a tweet.  People who will follow you will be interested in your articles as opposed to Facebook.  If you can post some articles on Twitter, people will slowly, but surely start following you.  I am just starting to realize this.

It is important and helpful to track the hot tags on Twitter.  For example, I wrote an article on the Joe Wilson situation.  (http://newsflavor.com/opinions/the-joe-wilson-issue-and-race/) Joe Wilson was a hot topic on Twitter at the time I wrote the article.  When I was posting the article, Joe Wilson was a hot topic; so I tweeted a comment on Joe Wilson while I was posting another article on my marathons.  Maybe there would be people interested in the Joe Wilson situation that would also be interested in marathons.  By the time I posted the article, Jimmy Carter was a hot topic.  Therefore, I added Jimmy Carter as a tag line.  I am slowly seeing the benefits of this strategy with more readers in the first hour of my article than ever before.

Good luck with your writing and readership numbers!
