Triond has given us a lot, and now it’s time for us to give something back in the form of suggestions to improve the site.
Triond has given all of us a lot. It’s given us an opportunity to express our views, publish our content and then earn from all of it. And yet, we rarely hear people praising the site. There are often complaints about lack of comment moderation or too few new features. But, personally, I feel where that is where we should be helping Triond. They can’t approve every single comment, nor can they read our minds. The only way they will ever know what to give us is if we tell them what we want. That is why I have written this article, to tell Triond and the Triond community, what I want to see improved on the Published Content page.
I would love to see an “Earnings Per View” column on our published content page. It could go between the “Total Earnings” and the “# Comments” columns. Basically, it would divide our total earnings on the article by the number of views the article has received. It would then output this figure. This would allow us to quickly and effectively see which articles are earning us the most. We would also then be able to order our articles by best earnings per view, allowing us to pick which articles we should spend our time trying to publicise.
I think it would be excellent if we had an “Average Daily Views” column, perhaps beside the new “Earnings per View” column. This would make it easier for us to see which articles are getting the most daily views and how many views they are getting on average per day. It would save us a lot of time, as we wouldn’t have to figure out the daily views per article ourselves. We could then see which articles seem to be the most popular, allowing us to write about this kind of topic again.
If there is one feature that the Triond Content page is desperately missing, it is undoubtedly content filters. We should be able to decide what content we want to look at using filters. We should be able to decide what type of content (sports, writing, music etc) we wish to look at, or choose to view only content that was published before or after a certain date, or only content that has earned a certain amount or reached a certain number of views. These filters would be excellent for giving writers greater control of their content and greater understanding of what can help them to succeed.
