Recommendations for a Better Triond

Let’s suggest improvements for Triond.

I think that Triond is one of the best sites to write about anything and get paid! I have been to many similar sites and I want to share with you some suggestions! We can discuss about them and you can even suggest yours in the comments area!

So let’s start with the suggestions!

First let’s discuss about protecting our articles! Many of Triond users are complaining about the “theft” of their articles by users who post them in other revenue-sharing sites. I would suggest using a script that prevents from selecting text. I have seen this script in many sites and it’s almost impossible for users to select text, copy and paste it in other sites! I don’t know this script but if anyone knows about it please write it in the comments area. It would help preventing plagiarism a lot!
I would also recommend to add more article reviewers who can speak many languages. English is surely the widest speaken language in the world, but many users can write articles in other languages too! I, for example, can speak Greek so I would like to have some articles written in Greek. There is an option for selecting Greek in the sumbit article section, but my articles stay in the pending area for many weeks and never get published!
Please fix the video quality in kleep.com. The videos are pixelised and sometimes it’s almost impossible to understand what you are seeing! Check youtube or other media sharing sites and you will see the quality difference! Youtube has even created a 1080p platform! Well I am not suggesting throwing so much money improving the video player in kleep but a better quality would be welcomed!
I have read many articles complaining about low income from Triond. I think that the income is quite ok, but any additional income would be welcomed (hehe). I don’t know how, but maybe 1,2 more advertisements wouldn’t harm our articles!
I think that adding more gadgets or even html to our personal pages would be fine! A shoutbox would also be nice in our personal pages.
I like submitting many photos. Organising them would be perfect, because now it’s very difficult for me to find a picture to share it! I have over 150 photos! So what am I suggesting is that having galleries or folder to put similar pictures in it would be great. For example a gallery where I can put all my pictures from my vacations.

You have some good ideas here, I think a forum for writers would be good for Triond, we can communicate amongst ourselves a little better.

I have hae problems with PICABLE Site recently – not putting well tagged things into the correct cagegory – and have seen mistakes made on other peoples submissions too – like a picture of a BUNNY put under “Skateboarding”, a picture of my Llama and lamb was put into “Dance”..
pay on some Triond sites is better than others –
overall if you write good,and promote yourself, you should do well…. promotion is hard though

I think Triond is great, sure we need like a new writers section, so we can see who’s new and give them a chance, cus’ it kinda luck when you stumble on the new people.
Also I would like for us all to make more from our articles.
Other then those I’ll leave the rest to you guys and gal’s.

Good tips. Marketing and getting more views is always a challenge. If Triond can keep high standards and attract good writers, the word will spread and we all will get more viewers. We also should admit that in spite of a few occasional hitches, Triond has been a very good idea and give the Triond people some applause too.

maybe for the low payments here on triond (well i think they’re not bad at all) but to improve things, perhaps they can pay upfront payments like AC and Helium. Triond is only missing this now and Helium have just started it!

Picable: I have found very un-reliable. At times I’ll click on my name and the pics aren’t mine…has my name there, but someone else’s pic…so where are mine at that time?

When a post multiple submissions in a day, it would be nice to just receive a message that “frined X has submitted __# submissions”. I feel like I may have to drop some friends because their submissions take 3-4 pages.. I want a quick synopsis, then I can go check out material

One other thing is that the hot-user cloud almost never changes! I saw a user with only 4 articles that was the “hottest” with the biggest name whereas many other users with more than 100+ articles were not in the list!

Hopefully enough people will start posting useful information to it that it will grow into a useful resource. Please note that this is an independent forum and is in no way officially affiliated with Triond (although I do know that they subscribed to the Twitter feed for it).

Pretty good article. One point that I don’t agree with is the anti-selection script. In my opinion, those scripts do nothing but hurt usability, while having very little effect on plagiarizers. It could lower view count, as I have seen stumbleupon users rating pages down just because of such scripts.
