Online Writing by

A discussion about popular topics to write about.
I am learning more about writing online and what people want to know. One important thing that I have learned is that people do not read a lot of poetry. Though relevant and artistic, it has been my experience that people generally read about things they want to LEARN. I have come up with a list of topics that are searched often, and that I myself have stopped to read information about.
- Making Money- most, like myself, are always looking for new and innovative ways to make money. I am willing to believe that someone has it all figured out. Thus, I am always interested to read articles about this topic.
- “How To” Articles- Many people possess skills that others would like to have. Write about them, you never know how many people do not know how to tie a proper bow (just an example).
- Top News Stories/Editorials- Yes! Someone out there does care about your opinion on top issues! They may agree or simply be looking for someone to argue with. Either way, this is attention grabbing writing.
- Health- What is wrong with me? What can I do about it? Does jumping up and down singing “Twinkle,Twinkle, Little Star” get rid of hiccups? Tell me about it!
- And Finally…..WRITING- Writers read often. I, like so many others, am always looking for ways to improve my writing (other than practice, of course). A lot of us learn from trial and error, but I always enjoy advice from writers who are successful!
There it is, the five topics that the majority of people (myself included) love to read about. Never underestimate the knowledge that you have, keep writing, and have fun!
