Pick Up Story: God is Not a Competitor

One day a two year old girl accidentally got a first degree burn at her right face and arm after grabbing the food in a bowl while her mother is stirring it to make it warm.

During an interview:

Mom said: “Para sa kanya naman kasi yung pagkain, bakit nya kailangang agawin pa sa akin?”

( I actually wonder why there’s a need for her to grab the bowl, were in fact I’m preparing it for her?)

God is love, a father who always preparing for all the blessings even if we don’t ask for it; But often we are always in a hurry and think that God will take it away from us.

Since it is not the right time, we need to face consequences that we hate so much.

The moment we feel life is so complicated, we know now who’s fault it is.

So many song and poems will say: “take one step at a time” , “There can be miracles when you believe”, “you are born this way”, “it’s the climb, “stand up for love”, “you are perfect to me”, “You are beautiful no matter what they say”…etc. We love reading and hearing it; but, do we really apply in life the lyrics?
