I have reviewed material online that claim writers who write for pay per view sites will not generate you money, this is not an accurate portrayal of how pay per view works. When you sell your article outright for fifty dollars, you still need to make sure your content is going to provide the website with views, or they can have a loss of money from what you submit. They might not purchase further articles from you if they do not receive many views from the articles they already bought. Pay per view is a great teaching platform which allows you to fully realize and see what is being viewed, and how often it is viewed. This gives you insight and an edge to write articles for other sites that do pay outright. This guarantees those sites that yes, if they give you fifty dollars for one article that they will make money and gain views.

Pros: You will continue receiving revenue on old articles repeatedly, which means you will eventually make more money on each individual article. You will also learn what sells.

Con: Remaining patient for views and waiting for your cheque, you need to gain enough money for them to send you a payment. You also need to write material that is ever green content, which means your articles will be constantly searched for. Some examples of this would be Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. It is a form of projectile writing for the future. Hot topics and hot content also needs to be provided to keep retaining views.

Selling Your Articles Individually

Pro: You receive your money immediately.

Con: You have sold yourself short because that article could have made more money over a given period of time. You also do not have the pleasure of learning what sort of content really makes money. Most pay per view platforms offer you a break down of each written piece, so you can keep an eye on what is being read and how often. This method, without pay per view experience, holds you back from actually selling an article outright to a company or website with the knowledge and self esteem that it will generate the buyer views.

A good healthy combination of pay per view, and selling your articles outright is how I make my living. I do both. This way all those old articles can still generate you money, while selling the other pieces individually. Consider using both methods if you plan on remaining at home and becoming a freelance writer.
