Two years ago, I outsourced the writing of 10 articles to a writer on Elance. It was not because I could not write them myself, but I was concentrating on other aspects of the online business I was building for myself.
Affiliate Marketing
I was interested in setting up a website and selling a product via affiliate marketing. I thought that it was going to be easy. I just did not do enough research before setting up the website.
Different Focus
I had wanted to concentrate on the web design instead of the writing, in order to save money. I could outsource the web design but did not. Instead, I outsourced the writing. I had wanted a couple of articles to generate a bit of traffic to the website. By the time the articles were written, my website would be ready, I thought. But the website was not ready even after all the articles were written. I should have done the other way around – outsource web design and write the articles myself.
Lost Interest
I found web designing very difficult and had to abandon the entire project after a lot of time lapsed. I was getting very frustrated. In addition, I have lost interest in the topic by then. I get very excited about something very fast, but at the same time, I lose interest in it as quickly. Thus, if I needed to get a project completed, it would have to be done in a jiffy!
Reuse Articles
I have shelved the articles for a very long time now. I thought it would be best to publish them since I have already abandoned the idea to create a website with them. I am slowly uploading the articles on Triond, especially now when I’m experiencing a dearth of ideas. I did not outsource many articles – just about ten of them.
Even though the articles were needed for some other purpose then, they are still useful now, to increase my collection of articles and at the same time, generating passive income for me. Great, isn’t it?

I wish I had time to go digging through my archives. But then again, my writing was terrible back then. LOL!

Good way of reusing your articles. I am sorry you weren\’t able to do what you wanted in the first place.
