I am very glad to have received my third Triond payment for Sept 2011. The amount is still very small – barely enough for a McDonald’s meal.
I am very glad to have received my third Triond payment for Sept 2011. The amount is still very small – barely enough for a McDonald’s meal. However this is proof that we can make money on the Internet by staying at home. Of course I could have earned much more with the same amount of time and effort by pursuing a real job. But as a stay home mother this is probably the only way that I can earn some money.

What I did
Because of the September quantity challenge my target was to write 20 articles. I did it – and overshot it because I wrote 25 articles. I would have loved to write more but having written about 1 article per day for almost 2 months in a row I was a bit running out of ideas. And then I found that reading can actually instill new ideas. So now when I have the time I would read more – for the purpose of discovering new article ideas.
My earnings
Thanks for the 30% bonus I was able to almost double my August earnings. However it was still in single digit. And by looking at the earnings statistics I can feel the beauty of Triond – the earning does not stop on the day or at the month when the article was posted. Money keeps flowing in. For example my 4th highest earning article was one published in August 2011 — The Health Benefits of Ginger. Incidentally my highest earning article was also about health — Health Information of Mooncake. It looks like I will have to write more articles related to health.
Milestones Achieved
I was a few articles short of the 100 articles badge, but I did get the Sept Challenge badge. It looks nice on my profile page!
Next Milestones
It will be the 100 articles mark. And on the advice of some friends here I did join experts column and published by duplicating one article from Triond: Preventive Measures for Cervical Cancer. However magic did not happen. There was no views besides my own views. Therefore rather than risking my Triond articles having duplicate contents, I would stick with Triond being my only publication platform at the moment.
And I really have to thank all the Triond friends here who not only read my articles, but also give useful comments and suggestions. I think Triond itself is a good place to socialize!
My other milestone will be to accumulate enough money in my paypal account to pay for some books including shipping costs from amazon. I am patiently waiting for this day.

I agree that an important step is about being paid regularly. But I also feel that having a large readership is a more important factor that publishing a large number of articles. Gaining readership is always assisted by having a good sized network who regularly look out for the things that you publish.

Hello Joe Ram, it’s nice that you wrote this article. As a new writer, only four days old at Triond, it is a helpful information for me.

Hello Peter B. Giblett, I get your point. Having a good sized network who regularly look out for the things that a writer publish is important. What can you suggest to me as a new writer? You as an expert in strategic coaching and consulting that focuses on marketing and technology to improve business results.
