I have never thought that getting some side income in the Internet is possible before I joined Triond. I have been writing with Triond for over a year now and I can tell you that I am happy with the outcome. Even though I can’t rely entirely on my income from writing (for monthly expenses), at least I know that there will be some extra cash to help me pay the bills.

Since my experience with Triond has been a good one, with several articles in top 10 list (quite a number of times) I would like to review my top 10 most lucrative articles and would try to provide some possible reasons on why these articles have received the most views (among all my articles). This would perhaps give the readers some ideas to increase article viewings.

   Mostly viewed because…. the title is catchy even though not all the vodkas featured here are of the higher end range. I believe that the photos are also superbly beautiful, making this article attractive.

3. Seven Of The Deadliest Delicacies: Come Dine With Death! published on 17 February 2008 (98,641 views as of January 2009)

   Mostly viewed because…. besides the catchy title, each exotic food featured here is extremely poisonous. However, this doesn’t stop people to savour the food as it is considered as delicacy in some cultures. Beautiful photos and interesting video clip are attached to this article making it more attractive.

4. 10 Ridiculously Unique Dining Experiences You Should Try Before You Die published on 7 December 2007 (93,151 views as of January 2009)

   Mostly viewed because…. the restaurants featured here are interestingly peculiar but worth going – at least once in your lifetime. Catchy title with simple review on each eatery plus nice pictures, make this article a hit.

5. 10 Of The World’s Most Unique Restrooms: Understanding The New Toilet Culture published on 23 October 2007 (77,732 views as of January 2009)

   Mostly viewed because…. the title is appealing as readers could be attracted to read restrooms reviews around the world with nice pictures, instead of the normal hotel or restaurant reviews. The restrooms featured here are uniquely rare and beautiful in their own way.

6. Amusing Stories Behind The 12 Words of Indian Origin That Made It To The Oxford Dictionary published on 27 May 2008 (62,367 views as of January 2009)

   Mostly viewed because…. most people would not have expected that several words in the English language are of Indian origin. As a matter of fact, technically, there is no such thing as Indian language but instead there are Sanskrit, Hindi or Tamil languages, which originated in India. This debatable issue was discussed by the viewers and also received one of the most comments and this I believe has resulted in higher ratings and attracted even more viewers.

7. Nine Unlikely Ways To Literally Munch, Taste And Consume Gold published on 26 November 2007 (38,162 views as of January 2009)

   Mostly viewed because…. the title though catchy may sound a little unbelievable. In fact, gold dust and gold flakes have been used in various luxurious dishes and liquor; not to enhance the taste but rather to garnish the food and drink. The title, the interesting content and the beautiful pictures make this article a hit.

8. Nine Wonder Brands That Made It To The Oxford Dictionary published on 5 September 2007 (33,787 views as of January 2009)

   Mostly viewed because…. the pictures used for this article are mostly from the old advertisement, with vibrant colours and attractive pictures. Since there are many more so called wonder brands around, that actually became part of the English vocabulary; I only chose (what I think) the best nine brands. Viewers who gave comments keep on adding more and more brands that they believe should be included in this article and this could probably increase the viewings.

9. 20 Other Amazing Uses For Beer And Vodka published on 22 July 2007 (30,739 views as of January 2009)

   Mostly viewed because…. although these are just normal DIY tips, the article uses two interesting items – beer and vodka with their alternative uses around your home.

10. 10 Popular Nursery Rhymes That Are Incredibly Depressing, Terrifyingly Violent And Disturbingly Tragic For Children published on 8 January 2008 (24,622 views as of January 2009)

    Mostly viewed because…. another interesting topic to ponder. The catchy title and the interesting content with pretty pictures make this article attractive. Like the other debatable issues in any articles, viewers sent suggestions such as the nursery rhymes that they think should be included in this article. Viewers also came back to give their comments and their own interpretation of the nursery rhymes featured. These perhaps further increase the viewings.
