My journey with Triond is like that of a pregnant woman – it took me nine months to generate or deliver the fruit of my labor.
March 2007 — I was reading blogs when I came across an advertisement about Triond. Curiosity lead me in checking out the site; and interest in joining the community.
I can relate my experience with Triond to that of a pregnant woman. It started from conception — I submitted my very first article entitled One Year After. Based on the number of views I got, I can say that it’s not a popular choice. I agree that it was not the best one because of its abstractness and vagueness. Since I was previously oriented that blogs are online diaries, which in some cases are still true, the article is a product of my vague state of mind (at that time). Later did I realized that in Triond, it’s more than that — it’s delivering information that is interesting and useful to the vast majority. With that realization, I started observing or rather studying on how I should relate to Triond readers.
A few months later, along came nobert soloria bermosa, my very first online friend in Triond. He was more like my ob-gyn at that time. I know it’s funny how I relate these things, but it’s how I saw it. Anyway, just like a typical ob-gyn, he guided my journey in Triond. He gave me tips and invited me to join his social circles. It was how I met a few other friends, namely, claris fernandez, cupidpsyche, CutestPrincess, eddiego65, Gwendolyn Cuizon, Stephanie Herschel, Unofre Pili, and william rodriguez II.
A few months later, I was able to get the hold on how to get better views and create & submit great articles. My first goal and also a motivation was to make atleast one article reach Triond’s Hot Content. I was so happy when two of my articles made it — the Coconut Tree: The Tree of Life and Brain Damage: Top 10 Habits. Again, much thanks to my friends for their continued support. It was greatly appreciated. The experience was like those pregnancy moments when people ask, “Is it a boy or a girl?”, and then you’re happy to announce “It’s a girl!” or “It’s a boy!”.
I learned how to expand my circle and it’s how I met my additional circle of friends, namely, B Nelson, CHAN LEE PENG, ecrivan wordwizard, Judy Sheldon, Liane Schmidt, Marcus Edward John Cross, Rumi, s hayes, Swapna P, valli, Verniel Cutar, Writer Shirley Lopez and a lot more others. They too have made a great impact on my articles, though I wasn’t able to make it to the Hot Content again, atleast the views I’m getting from my articles have improved a lot. After staying with Triond for more than 9 months now, at last, I was able to harbor the fruit of my labor — just in time for the holidays.
It was much like giving birth to a child you’ve kept for 9 months in your womb and when it gets out, you can’t help but hear praises and critiques at the same time. But whether there are critisims along or not, I am still happy that I made it!
My journey doesn’t end there. I know that as time pass by, I will be able to continually grow and hone my skills more, along with my friends and critics.
