My First Month on Triond – or How I Made $6.5 From Doing Stuff I Like

January was my first month on Triond, I learned a lot and gained many new friends. However, near the end of the month there was some bad rumors, so I waited with this article till I will get my money, so I will be sure that I am writing about a website I can trust.

So I joined Triond near the end of December and started writing (an old passion of mine). However, It took me exactly one day to understand no one is reading my articles. I was very upset and started searching articles about how to promote your writing (of course silly me – I did not even know the proper warding for that then). I was very lucky. Some of the first articles I found was from active Triond users, and when I left a comment about how great their articles are – they immediately contact me through Triond and send me many links and online books that help enrich me world, and instruct me in the SEO and promoting world.

Triond Wonderful Community

Slowly I began to get to know Triond, and Triond’s great community. I made many new friends. Some helped me learn new SEO and promoting ways, other expended my knowledge in other areas, but all are very nice and supporting. I decided I am not going to start and named all my friends, since I do wish to finish writing this article today ( ) so – You know I am talking about you …

I read great articles in many area and learn to know some very promising talents that write great poems and stories. Some of you should really get a publisher and start publish books to the universe – not just Triond community.

With your help I improved my writing style and technique. I professionalise my promoting ways and began to explore new ways to promote my writing. I even invented a new efficient way – that I gladly shared with the community.

Social Network Promotion

I started using Social networks in order to promote my work. The first one I used was Twitter,  which was great for a while, but then decreased fast. Right now I find it moderate, it might occasionally bring me some readers, but I will not count on it.

The second Social network I used (and still using!) is Digg. So far it is the most successful network for me. It got me over 1K readers in January alone! Of course I believe that my little trick helped a lot here! I guess this is also the place to offer you a co-digg partnership – you dig my submissions and I will dig yours. However, please make sure to dig the submissions (by going to the submissions tab) and not just my digg-ed or commented stuff.

Next I tried Stumbelupon. The first day was great and I got many views from it. However, I noticed that it is only good to get you some immediate views few seconds after submitting the link. I still did not find a way to use this network in order to get a steady and stable traffic to my articles.

Few days ago I signed into Reedit. However, I still did not figure this network out. I am still trying to understand how it works. So if you got any tips for my – I will be happy to hear.

Extra

This month I also started to write a blog (it is not in English, so I will not link to it). And link it to my Chitika account after realising it is much better than Google AdSence. So far my blog is developing slowly, but steady. And I will like to take you all for giving my enough confidence to even start it.

Profits

While it would have being fun stating I earn almost $350,000, it was unfortunately just a glitch. However, I think over 5,000 views and  a revenue of $6.5 on my first month is nice as well. Also I already have close to 2,000 views and over $2 revenue this month, so I hope to keep up the “good job”. Although it might be nice if Triond will start to pay us more for our hard work, or at least help us a bit to generate more traffic to out articles.

BTW about the rumors – they were not true, and I have the $6.5 in my PayPal account right now as a proof for that
