My Best Triond Article Has Received Over 160,000 Views and Counting

Why are some of my articles more popular than others? This article explains why I believe this article has and continues to be increasingly popular and how you can enjoy the same and greater success from all your writing endeavors.

I think it’s safe to guess that if you have published more than a handful of articles on Triond or other sites, you have probably noticed a great variance of views that each article experiences. I’m still trying to uncover why there is such a great difference between the popularity of my work and how to continue to produce work that is highly viewed and enjoyed.

So, what I’ve decided to do is analyze why I think my best article continues to grow in popularity, steadily and rewardingly every single day.

Okay, so here goes:

My #1 ranked most popular article is:

B12 Shots: The Newest Energy Booster

For awhile this article consistently received about 100 views a day. Then it changed to 200 views per day. Now, that number is steadily increasing. In fact, if you Google B12 Shots, I was blown away to find that it appears as the #1 search result.

Amazing; I tell this story for a few reasons. First of all, for people who think that their work is just falling into the internet universe only to be viewed a few times, you never know when you’ll write something that will become a huge success. Keep working, keep believing. When I first started with Triond, my views were small and I wondered what I was doing wrong, but I stuck with the love and passion of writing in my heart and it continues to reward my efforts.

Why do I think this article has done so well and continues to do well? Many reasons; the topic is hot. One of the biggest universal complaints I notice from people is that they feel tired or lethargic at one point of time during the day. Secondly, the subject matter is health and finding a way to improve yours. Overall, the articles I publish that center around health are always the most consistently and highest viewed articles.

In addition, I believe the continued growing popularity has to do with the fact that it is an article that people want to leave comments on. I have many articles that people continue to view, but do not continue to leave consistent comments.

Why? I believe people leave comments on this particular reason for a few reasons. They have knowledge about the subject and can add their knowledge, thus, helping others, something that doubly makes them feel good and they can also seek help or advice from others.

And then I began to realize that my article became bigger than me; it took on a “life” of its own. It literally became a forum for people who are really concerned about the best way to improve their health. Just by sharing my simple story, it opened the door for others to do so; and in doing so, they are helping millions of others who want to find the best solution for their problems. Some readers may never end up taking a B12 shot, but upon reading the comments left from people who have greater knowledge about the subject than me, others will be enabled to make informed and wiser decisions about their health. It can’t get any better than that.

I also feel that because I do take the time to answer all the comments on this article, more readers feel that what they have to say is important to the writer and they are more inclined to leave comments. I truly do care and I do my best to research questions asked, many on subjects I know very little about, but I do it as a thank you for the comment and because I just want the very best for everyone in this world. For some of my other articles, I must admit that it’s been tougher to respond to all the comments. The reasons vary, but in the end, I believe it’s important to focus your attention on what’s most valued and successful in your life. When you do this, the rewards double, triple, and never stop growing.

And, lastly, I think its popularity has to do with the fact that I continue to think about it and link it to as many other articles as possible. In fact, one of my goals is to make sure that all my articles have links to other relevant articles I have written. From research, I learned that linking is one way that search engines somehow figure out what articles should be placed higher up in search results. The more links, the more popular an article appears. Whether this is true or not, it makes perfect sense.

Now when you decide to place links of your articles in various places, this must be done thoughtfully. You must realize that “spamming” on any level will not bring you what you want, and that is prosperity and bringing good feelings to those who read your work. All it does is make the majority of people feel as though you don’t care about their work, time, etc. And, for those who try to be as nice as possible, well you might enjoy a few views, but in the end, you will deter a loyal audience more so than anything else.

When I started out, I had to learn the hard way, but luckily, I learn quickly! I left a few links myself when I commented thinking that because the subject matter was similar the author would appreciate it. Not so. And, though my intentions were good, I soon realized that by doing so it was like I was saying to a person who was not even my friend, “Okay because I cooked you dinner now you have to cook me dinner.”

We all know that when you do something, people never want to feel obligated to have to do something back. Your friends simply do nice things for you because they want to of their own volition. So when you start linking your articles be sure to leave them on your articles, websites, blogs, etc. If you enjoy writing articles about health link your health related articles throughout your work, down below, or wherever you think they will be viewed the most. This is truly a smart way to increase your article views because if readers already love your writing style and subject matter and want more, they can quickly find more of your work.

While readers can also simply click your name to find a list of your work, the manner in which Triond articles are catalogued is by date and not subject making specific searches a time consuming experience for your audience; one that most would opt to avoid. And those rare exceptionally interested readers spend extra time shifting through page after page of your work instead of being able to use that time to read your work. Eliminate this obstacle. Make it easier for readers to view your work!

These are some thoughts regarding my article’s success. I’m still pondering this subject.

You are correct here Liane especially when talking about friends and leaving links. People don’t want to feel obligated to comment on everything they read and shouldn’t have to. I tend to comment on the pieces that I genuinely enjoyed and not just in the hope of someone commenting on my work. Well done.

Your words offer insight, education and humility as well. we must really focus, think of what someone wants to really read, what title will attract and then write away. Your words inspire and no I must go do as you say, write and then wait. LOL Michael

Liane, you are so right. When new to writing it is so tempting for one to add their links in comments or send others messages to say “look at me. I like to write too.” Who doesn’t want to be heard? We are a great think tank, but in our clamor to be heard we must remember to listen and take turns speaking. No one wants to & won’t be “forced” to read some one else’s work. It should be a mutual give and take.

Your writing is always helpful, genuine, and insightful while still being humble. Thanks again for sharing.

    Take care and God bless.

You never know what will be popular. My most popular article was just an essay I had published because it didn’t win a writing contest I entered. I had no intention of publishing it before that failure. The articles I have committed to or the creative writings I have done on this site are not nearly as popular. It’s funny sometimes what will take off. Nice article!

Dear RJ Chamberlain, thank you with all my heart for your thoughtful comment; a true artist simply wants to inspire and create things to make others feel good. Blessings.

Dear MMV Abad, thank you for taking the time to read my work.

Dear BC Doan, I truly appreciate your comment.

Dear Bozsi Rose, thank you for your great question. I am certain many others have experienced this problem as well. My answer:

I think there are many reasons why Triond sometimes deletes portions of my articles. I have found that sometimes it’s a simple human mistake. For example, if you create an article that in a Word document and put a picture in it that is too big to fit on a page and automatically appears on another page, this can make it look like the article is finished; especially if it leaves it looking like only a 1/2 page of writing. When this happens, be sure to either make the picture smaller or write a note in parentheses to the Triond editor – noting exactly what happened with the formatting. Something like:

(Note: Please note that the rest of my article follows below – the picture was pushed on the next page – please also take this note out of the article, thank you so kindly)

So, it is possible that your links may have fallen on another page. If not, it could simply be human error. Because, I am certain that Triond wants all their writers to promote and link their work as much as possible. When our articles do well, they do well.

Dear nobert soloria bermosa, your consistent support means more to me than words can ever fully express.

Dear claris, your time and comment is greatly appreciated.

Dear Lauren Axelrod, thank you with all my heart for your comment. It warms my heart knowing that my article has helped remind you to add more links to your work. Blessings.

Dear CHAN LEE PENG, I am always honored when you have the time to leave me a comment.

Dear mdegenhardt/Michael, blessings to you, your comment is so beautiful.

Dear LP Jardine, I think its very good practice to leave comments for the articles you truly want to. When you do, I believe, that other writers and readers can then feel the genuine quality and message you are trying to convey. To do otherwise, would not be true to your heart. Thank you for sharing the way that you decide to leave a comment. Through time, perseverance, belief in yourself, research, dedication, etc. – you can and will make all your dreams a reality!

Dear goodselfme, your comment touches my heart. If you need help knowing how to link articles it is a simple process, see below:

    1. Write the name of your article with the direct link right after it, like below.

Dear James, I am deeply thankful and humbled that you want to share this article with others. I do hope that it is helpful to them.

Dear C.Jordan, I do hope it further helps the success and joy you enjoy from this beautiful career/dream that we all share as writers. Welcome to Triond, we are all blessed to have you a new part of this one of a kind, precious community!

Dear Judy Sheldon, I also feel blessed to receive comments from you. I have learned so much from your work. You consistently produce great, unique, and intelligent writing pieces. And, I’m certain you have helped improve millions of lives already and will only continue to do so.

Dear beauley, Lucien, it is a rare gift to receive a message from you. I am a true fan of your photographic abilities. If any readers/writers have not seen his pictures yet, please check out the link below. He is an exceptionally gifted photographer.

Dear Jessica Rowe, thank you with all my heart for your comment and congratulations. I am still blown away by its success.

Dear jo oliver, your article truly means the world to me.

Dear Josey, thank you so very much for sharing your story. It will certainly help remind other writers to pull out the “unsuccessful” past writing pieces and potentially have them take off on Triond. I know that JK Rowling’s Harry Potter was rejected at least 12 times and now look where she is!

My best wishes & blessings to all.

More and more, I’m seeing articles about how we as a community of writers need to take the time and effort to read eachothers material. Not just in hopes that they read yours, but so that you can post comments, whether those comments be praise or constuctive criticism. Thanks for helping in making that possible.

I’m dotting down everything that’s essential here. But i agree with you saying that our love for writing should surpass all rather than cramming brains day and night trying to figure out what to write so that you can hit the jackpot.
It seems like seeking knowledge online have a very unpredictable pattern. One day it may be a hit, next it may not.So, I decided to write anything that caught my interest best so that I can unconditionally give my whole attention and passion on the pieces that I’m writing and will write in the future. And besides that, I think it’s a good thing to write with the intention to share the information. There are always people who will be interested in something, the only diff may be the number of people.

    Dear swapna, you’re welcome. Blessings.

Dear Melissa, thank you with all my heart. I share this number so others (new and seasoned Triond writers) know that it is possible. Every single one of your articles can and will enjoy the same attention – just keep persevering!

Dear Eric, thank you for your thoughtful, well stated comment. Yes, it appears that many people love the idea of being a part of a “community” of any sort – and “online communities” are becoming even more popular. People want to be heard, they want to learn, listen, feel understood, etc. And, in writing these articles, I find that I learn so much more than I ever thought I would from the comments left.

Dear ebazaar, I appreciate your comment. Yes, it is my sincere belief that oftentimes writing what you love the most gives you the highest level of fulfillment. And, you couldn’t've said it any better – there will always be something someone is interested in. Oftentimes the challenge is to come up with something that appeals to all people on a transcending, universal, timeless level that you still love with all your heart. You can find this place and learn how to write from it consistently!

Dear donnaalene3, my sincere gratitude to you for this comment. I know you can make all your dreams come true. Keep believing and persevering.

My best wishes & blessings to all.

Hey Liane. Thanks for writing this article – it will hopefully helo and inspire writers on Triond – old and new alike! It’s great that you have received so many hits on B12 shots – and just goes to show that with some thought Triond articles can get to the top of a google search. OK, there may have been some “serendipity” involved there, but it gives other people a lot of food for thought!

Dear RJ, yes, I couldn’t agree with you more. I wrote this article to help inspire other independent writers. You can and will get all your articles in the top google search engines. If I can do it, anything’s possible!

Dear Andrew, thank you with all my heart for your kind comment.

Dear Chris, if you want to link articles to your articles you publish through Triond use this format:

    Article Name
    Article http web address

Triond, knows what to do from there.

If you want to link articles in blogs, you must know a little html coding, the following is the standard format:

The words you want to show up on the link

so if you wanted a link that shows this article name it would look like this:

My Best Article Has Received Over 59,000 Views and Counting

Hopefully that is helpful to you!

Dear gabbie1219, it’s a small world! Yes, it seems that B12 shots are becoming more of a popular thing. I had never heard of them before my doctor suggested them to me. I am so glad he did. And, thank you with all my heart for your kind words, they mean more to me than words will ever be able to fully express.

Best wishes & blessings to all.

  • Liane Schmidt
    October 6th, 2008 at 11:40 am

    Dear Chris,

I put down the html coding, but it looks like Triond’s comment function would not let it show up?

Please feel free to email me your personal email address if you’d like help with it or you can try to independently search it through Google. I learned how to do it on my own. When you realize html is just like any other language and as soon as you understand the basics you can do more things with it. I think I have an intermediate knowledge of it as I don’t know how much there is to know about it!

    Blessings.

    Sincerely,

    -Liane Schmidt.

Liane this was a great article. I am finding that I spend just as much time commenting back to readers as I do writing my articles and to say the least it has been very rewarding. The section about linking really hit home for me as I had a blog removed from blogspot for what they said was spamming. I didn’t understand what it meant at first, but your explanation made all the sense in the world. Blogspot did not do a good job of explaining and I thought it was the content (Our Forgotten Troops) that was in question. I was furious to say the least, but it was the fact that I linked the title to my Triond page (thought I would give my readers more of my work on Troops), but as you explained that is not what is going to come up when clicked, so thanks for that tidbit. I am learning and quickly, thanks to you it has only been two days since this happened. Much appreciation! Many more blessings to you…

I hope you are able to start another blog soon if you would like to! I didn’t realize that BlogSpot deleted accounts for spamming – your comment will help countless others avoid the same mistake, so thank you once again!

Blessings & best wishes to all.

    Dear ur guide,

Thank you with all my heart for your comment. I am a member of digg and stumble upon, however, I have read that it’s important to not bookmark your own work. I do not use either tool very often because my schedule is very busy and it’s challenging to keep up with Triond alone. I do know that there are many writers who do very well with other such networking sites though. It’s important to know that like with Triond, you must also network, read, leave comments, etc on those other sites as well to see results. I have a blog:

Make the Most of Your Time
    http://www.makethemostofyourtime.blogspot

Where I post links to many of my articles on Triond as another way to increase the views to my work.

It would be interesting to see how the stats for the views of bookmarking works, I agree.

    Dear Patrick,

    Your comment is truly appreciated.

Yes, I was surprised myself when I noticed how certain articles with universal appeal really help other people understand, feel heard, etc. It’s truly an amazing experience. The more you learn, the more you can share, and the more you can help others.

Blessings & best wishes to all!

    Sincerely,

    -Liane Schmidt.
