Most Popular Trionders: Interview with Nobert Soloria Bermosa

Meet the author of some of the hottest content in Triond. Who is Nobert and how does he make it?

In this interview, Nobert Soloria Bermosa, one of the most popular writers on Triond, talks about his experience and shares some secrets to succeed. Check his answers:

When and why did you join Triond in the first place?
-I started last March, 2008. I joined Triond because I wanted to hone my writing skill, I wanted to meet people of varied cultures, I wanted to meet new friends, to share what I know and to educate as much as possible because it’s what I love to do while learning at the same time and practically speaking- to earn additional income.

How would you describe the experience of being part of this community so far?
-It’s very fulfilling and it feels great to be a part of the Triond community. Trionders are very friendly and warm people.

When did you start to write and why?
-I do not have any background on writing and I do not consider myself a writer, that’s why I prefer to be called a contributor. I remember writing (for my journal) when I was in high school, basically-poetry-to express the inner me. I also have a few poems published in a tabloid before I landed on Triond.

Which were your most popular articles? Did you expect that?
-I don’t consider my articles popular but here are my 15 articles that gained (and are still gaining) the highest number of views. I expected some of these to gain views but not so many!.

1. World’s Most Impressive Rock Formations: 131,000 views.
2. Spectacular Trees From Around The World: 91,000 views.
3. 25 Amazing and Bizarre Deep Sea Creatures: 60,000 views.
4. Top 10 Most Famous & Historically Significant Tombs in the World: 51,603 views.
5. The Most Unique and Bizarre Lakes From Around the World: 45,403 views.
6. 20 Deadliest Plants on the Planet: 43,511 views.
7. 20 Most Bizarre Congenital Defects/Abnormalities: 30,000 views.
8. 10 Deadliest Plants on the Planet: 24,442 views.
9. 13 Killer Diseases Transmitted by Animals to Humans: 18,125 views.
10. 11 More Spectacular Trees From Around the World: 12,587 views.
11. Top Five Island Tourist Destinations in the Philippines: 11,367 views.
12. 12 Vitamin-Rich Exotic Fruits From the Philippines (and Other Tropical Areas): 10,490 views.
13. The Twenty Most Brilliantly Colored Birds in the World: 10,764 views.
14. Amazing Facts about the Human Body: 10,293 views.
15. Bizarre Plants and Animals: 10,029 views.

My two most read poems are: I Don’t Love You  and Love Me Again. My recipe with the highest number of views is Pininyahang Manok. And my most viewed photo is If You Can’t Quit Smoking, Try This!

Can we find your work in other places else than Triond? (blog, books, etc)
-Only at Triond, although some of my works have been added or were linked to a few blog sites. I don’t have much time to publish in other publishing sites because I have a full time job, contributing to Triond is just my part-time job.

Do you remember any article about a friend which have impressed you in particular?
-Too many to mention.

Which would be your advice for someone who is just starting here?
-Patience, patience and lots of patience. Work, work, work and lots of hard work. It is more polite and an effective way to make friends by reading and commenting on the works of other writers instead of leaving messages on their inbox asking them to read and comment on yours when in fact you don’t even bother to read and comment on theirs. On-line writing is a two-way highway, you give and take.

Have you ever met a trionder in person?
-No. Hope to meet someone some someday.

Can you imagine how could it be if we all meet in a Triond party?
-I’ll compare it to a fruit salad: different fruits mixed together but taste good. It would be lots of fun. People from different walks of life, of different culture and traditions, different races from all over the world meeting together, wow, it’s gonna be fantastic, though I am not a party-goer.

We have already seen your profile. Is there any other personal information you would like to share with the community?
-I would like to see myself in the near future managing and supervising a school that produces quality graduates that will eventually become productive and responsible citizens in the community.

Have you ever been interviewed before? How did you feel about it?
-Yes, it was great, I felt honored. Thank you very much!
