Meet the author of some of the hottest content in Triond. Who is Louie and how does she make it?
In this interview, Louie Jerome, one of the most popular writers on Triond, talks about her experience and shares some secrets to succeed. Check her answers:
When and why did you join Triond in the first place?
I joined Triond more than two years ago because I wanted to get more coverage for my writing. I already had a couple of websites of my own and I wanted to build myself a portfolio of writing.
How would you describe the experience of being part of this community so far?
I don’t consider Triond to be a community, but I do have a group of friends who support and help each other. It is because of long standing members like Darlene McFarlane and BC Doan that I have been so successful on Triond. Their help in the early days was invaluable. I think that Triond tends to be divided into cliques but I try to move across these where I can.
When did you start to write and why?
I’ve been writing since I was old enough to hold a pen. I used to create comic books and ‘sell’ them for sweets (candies) to other children. I think I must have printer’s ink in my veins.
What are your most popular articles? Did you expect that?
My most popular article is 10 Surprising Uses For Aspirin. It has 158,966 reads and gets more each day. I had no idea that it would do so well.
Can we find your work in other places else than Triond? (blog, books, etc)
I write on several internet sites under my real name and as Louie Jerome. The two are kept separate because of the different writing styles. I publish an online magazine called Writer Soup and I have several blogs. My main blog is called Words To The Wise and it is devoted to all things English
My first book: PakFan was published three years ago and it is now out of print and awaiting a rewrite. I have another book awaiting publication at the moment. It is called ‘Peter And The Black Dog’ ~ A Psychic Journey, and it should be released by the publisher within the next month.
What would be your advice for someone who is just starting here?
Anyone just starting here needs to be prepared to work hard, write a lot and do a lot of marketing. Making friends makes it easier to ask for help!
Have you ever met a Trionder in person?
I have never met another Trionder but I believe that they are all quite normal (well, outwardly, anyway! LOL)
Can you imagine how could it be if we all meet in a Triond party?
We would need a very big venue if we all met. I would be the one making lots of noise in an attempt to cover up how shy I really am!
We have already seen your profile. Is there any other personal information you would like to share with the community?
I was born in the South of England but I travelled the world until I went away to school. Since then I have lived in the English Lake District. Writing is my biggest passion in life and I guess you could call it an obsession, but I am also a TEFL teacher and I really enjoy that too.
Have you ever been interviewed before? How did you feel about it?
Yes, I have been interviewed twice. Both times were in connection with my book. I enjoyed it although I was nervous at first. To tell the truth I more or less took over the interview and talked (oops!) I’m quite good at that but once I start I forget to stop, especially if I am enthusiastic about a subject.

I admire Louie’s work and it was an honor that she accepted my interview.
My favorite line was “I think I must have printer’s ink in my veins”. Real, authentic writers use to describe themselves that way.

Thanks for another great interview Maria! God, so it is possible to get a hugh amount of hits on a Web site. Is Louis working for Triond now?
I would be most interested if you could investigate cash figures – how much people have acutally made with Triond. Any chance of an income article?

James, I could have included the question about money in this series but I didn’t think it was polite. I guess it’s up to any writer to share how much are they making; in fact, some of them did it in their articles but others prefer to keep it private.
