Lots of Views But Only a Penny Made

It puzzles me how one can have so many views but only make a penny. This is outrageous, come on a penny!

How would you feel if you typed up a memo for your boss everyday but only made a penny for it? I’m sure you would not be thrilled with that. It’s hard to comprehend that anyone could make a penny for their work. I’m racking my brain trying to figure this whole thing out. Do you mean that my time is worth one cent? There has to be some explanation for this. I’m sure you can walk outside your door and pick up a couple of pennies.

I’m thankful for what I have but am struggling and need some relief. I think I found more than twenty pennies in my house and my son found 12 pennies. Am I being insulted? I can’t believe that this kind of thing is going on. I love writing but I can’t afford to only collect a penny. My time is valuable in it’s self. Should I turn my back on this whole thing? I guess a penny for your thoughts!

I hear you loud and clear. As I often say, I believe we’re in it for the love of it….but something is just waiting around the bend. Don’t know what it is but it would be terrible if you quit writing! :)

You are so right in fact sometimes you are lucky if you make a penny. I do not have any ideas to improve it.

    They’re taking it too literally.
I think they could pay better.

You would not give up if you were writing for the love of it. This might be a stepping stone to writing a book which will earn you a fortune. If you persist and write massively, pennies will add up and become hundreds of dollars. That is if you are in it for the long haul.

I stopped writing for a year to July 2012. In that period of absence, there were pennies accumulating in my account. I write what I’m best at writing – fiction – and I make my articles compete both for the greatest hits as well as for the highest earnings. That keeps me going.

If I had a better, higher earning platform to write at, I would still not stop writing here. There’s some satisfaction that goes with the nice comments people give on my articles.

I know some day these articles may lead to better fortunes.

    Keep writing!

You’re not alone. Going through my earnings for different articles, I found something unique about the them. Some articles, even if they have lot of views show nothing while others with less number of views have few cents. Obviously, it’s not the number of views, but there are different factors that affects the earning potential of an article. May be going through your dashboard analytic could reveal something about this. Views that are generated through search engines is earning more compared to views generated by Triond itself.

I can totally understand your frustration, but if there is anything that I’ve learned through freelancing, it is patience. Everything takes time, and patience should be your best friend. I work in the adult market and have a website myself. I found you through a search I carried out on erotica material, but once I got here I couldn’t find the article again. Real bummer. I’d like to link to you, are you interested in it?
