Sabine is cruel Sorceress, who would do everything to achieve her goals. Rydstrom is a king of Demons of Rage, who lost his kingdom more than 900 years earlier. Both characters are involved with political game between Sabine’s half-brother Omort the Deathless and the rest of creatures from Lore world. Sabine decided to imprison Rydstrom, who become dangerous to the tyrant Omort. The demon king would do everything to take back his ancient castle Tornin and his kingdom Rothkalina.

From first pages of this book we are witness of cruelty and we follow very fast action. By reading book we are able to enter amazing world of immortal beings, whose fight about domination, whose are cruel but whose also are heroes among them. We can experience clash of two worlds and two different personalities: Sabine (who is greed, wicked who lies and creates intrigues) and Rydstrom,    (who always telling the truth and he is able to sacrifice everything for his kingdom and beings whose live there above his pleasure and needs). If we expect that the Sorceress’s character would change and she would transform herself in good person we may be disappointed. We will not find in the book spectacular metamorphosis, what makes “kiss of a demon king” even more interesting to read. Also there is a clash between ancient rituals and custom and 21th century modern time. In this book we can find all we can experience in our life like passion, love, hate, disappointment, lie, sacrifice, cruelty, good and evil and some elements which we can find interesting like supernatural heroes, ancient rituals, different worlds and dimensions.

The Book is written for gothic and paranormal romances lovers, however readers who expect sweet in style romances and characters whose are involved with each other so much that they can’t see the world around them, might be disappointed. If you would like to read about characters like meant above please don’t reach for this book.

I believe that Kresley Cole surprised us again and she will do it in the future and she did not say last word and with her imagination, talent and creativity everything is possible. I wish you happy reading.
