Is Triond Worth Your Time?

Is Triond really worth the time you put into it? Find out here.

Triond is an incredible online publisher that allows users to connect and earn money from sharing content with the community. However, active Triond members are beginning to notice a decline in pay rates, page views, etc. Numerous articles are being published, advising users to leave Triond and join new, more evolving sites. As a loyal Triond member, I am putting my foot down and telling users to stick with Triond!

We all know why the bulk of us are here, to make that little extra cash and as most of us are noticing, the amount of views our articles are getting are beginning to plummet. However, by no means necessary does it entitle us to leave our loyal Triond. I have seen one too many articles out there, complaining of the decrease in views, the lower payouts and the wasted time writing articles. The number of members leaving Triond is what is causing this exponential decrease in views.

So with all this decrease in pay, I’m sure you’re asking yourself, why aren’t I leaving? Don’t worry, I asked myself the same thing, but I have the answer to question. Writers are leaving because of what?- Pay… but is that itself a strong enough motive to leave? No. Like most of you, one reason I am writing for Triond is for a little cash on the side, but focusing solely on making money is shallow. Think of all the dedicated writers on the vast web, typing away even without pay. Truly skilled writers will understand the importance of dedication and effort. They write for the audience, not for their bank accounts.

As for the decrease in views, it is important to keep in mind that even as Triond looks as though its toppling off its track, sites like Bukisa and Associated Content have the worst amount of views per article. There are a few success stories here and there but usually publishing there is like throwing out time spent on articles. Bukisa has a higher rate of pay per view, but no views. Associated Content will pay you upfront for your work, but what’s the point of publishing content and having nobody there to appreciate it. It’s just like having a cake, licking all the delicious icing off the top but being left with the crummy remains of tasteless sponge.

Many users complain it is impossible to generate a good stream of income from Triond. I strongly shake my head to that statement. They believe that as a whole, Triond itself doesn’t generate enough views on each website they are partnered with. Fair enough. But what those individuals fail to see is a solution. I thought, if more articles are published, more traffic will be directed at Triond, right? The majority of my views come from google searches and if more articles and topics are published, we will reach a wider audience.

Honestly, as a writer for Triond, sometimes I fail to see proper incentives for my writing. In the end, the way I see it, hard work and persistence will make you successful on Triond. The more articles you generate, the more streams of income will be directed towards you. Triond is not the culprit of this decline, it’s you! No one is too blame of your crappy 62 cent pay for last month, go out and write more articles! Dictate the pay you recieve, be the master’s of your Triond experience.

My number of views have not decreased, of late. They have rather increased quite a bit toward the end of last month, and this month. That’s because I promote outside of the Triond community a great deal. Most of my traffic does not come from the Triond community, but from Stumble Upon, Gather, other social networks, and the search engines.

My pageviews over a period of time have slowly gone up. I’ve decided to put in more time reading the articles of other members of Triond and making sure that I average one article or short story submission a day.

Also, I have links on my personal blog to my Triond content and this brings in most of my hits. My personal blog is the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette and it averages over 600 pageviews a week.

So, it’s going to take some work but as long as my pageviews on Triond continue to slowly go up on average, I’ll be happy. But you are absolutely right. It takes work. You get out of it exactly what you put in.

Good post. But I have to say that my article views have been steadily climbing. Only 5-10% of viewers come from Triond. The majority through my blog http://originalwavelength.blogspot.com and through search engines and stumbleupon etc.

I am new to Triond, just getting my feet wet, and to be honest this site I do appreciate because I love how I can write on any topic I want and get immediate feedback. However, I found Bukisa, Ehow and AC to be more successful for me in terms of money. You mention Bukisa has a low page view rate, but it really doesn’t matter if I am making more money with the little views that I get than on Triond. I plan on sticking with Triond for the long haul, but I def. want to make more than gas money on here. I feel that I can achieve that with Bukisa and Ehow better.

Thanks for the article. I’m going to try and publish at least one article a day from here on out. Good luck with your writing!

YOU ARE ABOSULETLY RIGHT! Bukisa has an excellant pay rate but you don’t get enough views. Believe it or not, I get maximum of 5 views a day with Bukisa even though I have over 30 articles published! Somedays I get no views! But on Triond, I wriote more and guess what? My traffic and earnings have soared! I get between 100-500 views a day on Triond giving me 30-50 cents a day! In a month I make around $15! Before it was $2-3! Why has it increased? It is because of writing more articles and linking each one!
‘Triond is not at fault BUT YOU ARE!’

Thank you for this! This article should help keep writers here and stay motivated!

It is all about the effort you put in.
