Is Triond Really Worth the Effort?

My thoughts of Triond after a month of using it. Is the time better spent else where?

Firstly I never joined the website in an attempt to make money I was more curious to learn more about Triond and what type of statistics I could gather and in general just wanted an experience.

I purposely made little effort to advertise my articles and have made about .10 cents in a month from 3 articles and one picture. I get a steady few clicks every few days from doing nothing what so ever. I know you could argue my articles suck and better articles make more money. I am not going against that, but as a typical user you wont be producing amazing articles or you would have the sense to do the whole process on your own.

I must admit I have had alot more detailed information and fun from blogging on blogspot with AdSense adverts, running google Analytics and Amazon Associates. None of this was that complicated and It feels far more rewarding. Knowing where in the world people were from who read the page and how long they were on it is really nice information to learn.

The amount of effort required to make decent funds on Triond would likely be better spent boosting your own website and own adverts so your not sharing your profits with some one else. While I understand this type of website is much easier for some users I think if you really wanted to put effort into making money on articles, your time would be far better spent making your own blog site as they are completely free and nothing is stopping you from putting similar adverts on.

The few clicks I get every now and again does show Triond blog sites are popular but if you really want to make your site popular you need to be the one spending time going around and getting the articles noticed yourself. Which is you putting all the effort in for 50% of the profits.

What do I think would improve Triond?

I would really like better statistics of how exactly the money was made, then perhaps you could help improve your results. But I guess people being reminded Triond took 50% of their sales may turn people off. But knowing people found your article doing a search for xxx would help you come up with new articles you know were popular for X reason.

I think a separate forum may be useful as well , one not for just spamming your articles with. I think most people dont read it as most posts are tricks to get you to go on peoples own articles. A place without that could bring a more community driven feel.

Will I be doing more articles for Triond?

Yes why not, it is still fun getting your voice out and having people say they liked articles and any comments is still good to hear back. But I certainly would not sit here all day submitting articles just trying to make money. I will always keep track of Triond to see how the site progresses and wish the makers every success.

Summing up

People must remember very few people make a living out of doing articles and very few make much money at all. It takes alot of time and effort to do well and I personally feel if you were doing this properly you would not want someone else taking your profits

I never joined Troind with the thought of making money although it’s a nice thought. I have been ‘bugged’ so to speak for a long time to share my words.
That’s why I signed up with and enjoy Triond. I love getting feedback on my writings. I love being able to share with my family and friends. I must admit though, when I try to leave comments for items it sometimes takes me 2 or 3 or more times to get it too take, which is discouraging both in a sense of a waste of time plus if I’m having the problem are others as well. Other than that I am just fine with Troind. Just for fun. Although now that I’ve been here for more than a month with almost 100 submittions I am now to the point where I am hoping someday someone will see and appreciate my words and offer to help me publish a best selling book with my works. We have to dream right. Anyway, I understand your thoughts but to me writing is fun and I love to share it so Triond is just fine for me for now anyway. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts though. Keep writing. God Bless.

Another flaw to point out I would say is the fact that some articles can be given the complete wrong type of blog site or labels. Nothing too major just does not always feel like articles or pictures are placed in the correct place.

I dont want to seem like I am advertising my other articles but you can check yourself to see my picture placed which is completely in the wrong category as an example.

this is a good article because it strikes at the heart of the problem
triond will suffer when it runs out of writers who are good enough to have a go but not good enough on their own!!
I don’t have any problem posting comments (which browser do you have? – I use Chrome)
Also, I blog with links to all my article sites and earn more from Adsense than triond or bukisa!!

Great article! I still say publishing articles on http://www.triond.com and http://www.bukisa.net is the best way to build a long-term income. Sure it takes a while, but you end up with an automatic recurring income for a long long time.

Good points Pottah. After not writing for Triond for awhile I started back up in January and have doubled my income here every single month so far including April already with a few days left. Could I do that with my own blog? I often wonder. Triond does help us get views because many of their sites are ranked relatively high so you can get your own articles ranked easier. But the idea of my own site is intriguing and in the end might make me more money but would be more work.

I have made 3 dollars blogging, 30 cents from triond.

I have made little effort with either. But obviously submitted alot more blogs.

More effort more reward, and free to try. You should at least try it.
