He is certainly getting the clicks but this has me wondering if this writer may be on to something.. what do you think?
As a Triond writer I have not only written a few articles but have read many and there is one in particular that although this writer may not be well liked he is certainly the genius in this game of clicks. Here’s how he plays the game and it’s quite remarkable as he has all of you playing it with him. First he reads as many articles as he can and while reading through all the “Great job… well written… love your article” comments… he leaves a comment that is so rude and obnoxious that it causes everyone who reads it to click on his name and check him out. Now this is the genius part… he has written quite a few controversial articles and because he has left extremely rude comments for all the world to see.. you are going to play right into his hand and CLICK on his articles and do the same, and not just once but several times. It’s not the articles that’s bringing in the CLICKS but the comments. I ask you… How genius is that?? No one is sending messages as they want their comments to be viewed by all and it has now turned into a “Jerry Springer Triond Festival” . They not only CLICK on his articles but keep CLICKING back to read the comments which for the most part are getting more attention than the articles. He’s a freakin’ genius!!! We don’t get paid for comments.. we get paid for CLICKS.. do ya see where I’m going with this?? If you really don’t care for a writer than show them by not reading any more of their articles no matter how many rude comments he makes… if you have something to say to him say it on your article… not his. Don’t feel bad though as I fell for it also… Yuppers… I CLICKED more than once and it took me a bit to figure him out but he certainly knows how to play the game to win. He’s not making friends… he’s making money. This is just my observation but for me… it’s been quite an experience. He almost makes me want to leave a few rude comments… HMMMM!! Just kidding… !!

I am shocked by that. He is not playing the game at all and doesn’t deserve any reads. I certainly wouldn’t have him on my friends list.

Karelee I agree with you completely.Everyone knows who he is. The more clicks he gets, the ruder he becomes because he knows it’s working! Nice point to bring-up and about time someone mentioned it too! God bless.
December 6th, 2008 at 7:08 am
He’s obviously a genius.
December 6th, 2008 at 7:23 am
I’m sad to hear that. Writing at Triond shouldn’t be regarded as a competitive way to compete each other or to take advantage to earn some “illegal clicks”. We should help each other to increase clicks rather than playing tricks to earn for more clicks.
Thanks and take care!

I know who you are talking about too, Karlee. I clicked on his work a couple of times then decided to ignore him. I was a little surprised at first to think that a Triond member would leave such comments and his name so I could conveniently find him. We complained to Triond about rude comments before, that is why they incorporated the Identity feature…so rude people would be easier to find. It looks like we are willing to take it if it is a Triond member.

I think I know who you are talking about, too.. When it comes to rude comments, I ignore it…
There is a delete and block button available to use though!

Love the feedback and I don’t really think that this person is as rude and obnoxious as he appears.

Thing is, I’ve seen comments like that, I do click on them once, read “one” article to see wether or not they are any good or just full of S%&t, leave “one comment” letting them know how rude they are and that I will not read anymore of their articles because they use shock to get viewers and that is just wrong, it people that keep going back to these losers that support them.
“Just say no to these people, their the same kind that run this world with war and for money not the people that reside in it.”
December 6th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
I understand the point of your article. I believe that anything that makes another person feel bad is something that should be avoided and not supported in any manner.
Blessings.
Sincerely,
-Liane Schmidt.

I’ve read his articles and I agree with all the ones I’ve read. I do not think that he wrote them to gain a bunch of flamers BUT he definitely knows how to twist it to his advantage.
I think that people either disagree with him or don’t and if he writes rude comments that you don’t like, ignore them.
From just commenting on his articles I got some guy/girl flaming me in the articles AND he went to one of my poems, and while everyone was saying how touching it was he wrote something incredibly rude. Meanwhile he’s on that other guy’s articles talking about how rude and what a hypocrite that guy and I are.
I think that you are right, that games should not be played, but I also think that some people need those games to live. All the while guys like this nameless article writer is benefiting.
Even I found it amusing that my flamer decided he didn’t like me enough to come to my profile and look at my articles. It’s great because then I get credit for his/her views and comment(s).
I apologize for posting such a long comment but I would like to add that I do not support rudeness, I just think that people need to just relax, and let people say what they are going to say. If you don’t comment they will get tired of it sooner or later.
December 6th, 2008 at 7:28 pm
I would also like to add, that yes, people should watch how they say things, but I also don’t think that all the people who comment “rudely” are just being mean. I think that some of them really do feel that way about what is written. Personally if I don’t like an article I just don’t comment on it. Encouragement can be great but at the same time if people think what they are doing is great they may not try to be better.
December 7th, 2008 at 3:18 am
If this is the individuals game then I guess the answer is to send the person a private message, in this way you still get to discuss your point of view and don’t pay them while doing it.
December 7th, 2008 at 4:07 am
Personally, if a person is rude and obnoxious, I simply have nothing to do with him.
I may love a good debate…but a rude and obnoxious person isn’t worth my time nor my clicks.
Genius? No. What he’s doing has been done by several disc jockeys that I know of who were so insulting that people called in to complain…and put the ratings through the roof.
This writer is just a copycat. Don’t fall for the ploy!

Thanks for the head’s up!
December 8th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
I must say that even though he is rude–he is entertaining—He also writes very well—i get him the clicks but don’t feel bad for it –A person can be so smart that their intelligence flirts with insanity-I think that applies to him—- and his insanity is entertaining -
December 8th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
This guy has posted comments that has made me feel a little bad–but then I get over it—-If he has done this to you just delete his comments———-and by the way he has so many different pen names that I can’t keep up with him—The way he attracts people is not a long lasting way to keep people reading and commenting his work–sooner or later people are going to get bored and pay no mind to him

There are people on here making a whole lot more money than this troll and their writing is superb compared to his. I only read the titles because I wouldn’t even give him one red cent of my time.
December 9th, 2008 at 2:14 am
Why thanks, I’m gonna have to start paying you for your valuable advice.
December 20th, 2008 at 1:58 pm
Well Drew these are very ambiguous points that you make. You feebly attempt to degrade every article that you read but this writer has discerned your intention and exposed you for what you really are. Your little gambit to garner a few extra clicks is undoubtedly an intelligent one; however, while it is not exactly a heinous crime proportions, it is still a transgression that should be avoided.
I am aware that my opinion is almost certainly inconsequential to you but nonetheless I feel that you should stop leaving such derogatory comments on other people’s work.
This concept is probably incomprehensible for you but most of the people who you comment about are nice, compassionate people, or at least the few who I have met in my short time here are. I see no reason for you to be so cruel to them. The ease with which you articulate your thoughts and the eloquence you use could be much more beneficial if you used it to create high quality articles. I mean really little or none of what you say is appreciated by many people, indeed your following must be few and far between. If you just disperse with the disparaging approach then you could make lots of friends and still get sufficient views from your articles.
Just try to be a nicer person

Do you get paid under the name Poo Diligents?
Wow….. does that mean you don’t die like the rest of us?
Oh no please i need you to admire my opinion
Oh you call those comments, well at least you tried but they look more like gibberish to me.
You can read? :0
Wow I made a mistake while typing. Well goodbye forever Triond, I’m off to punish myself for my sin and then depart this world for ever. I no longer deserve this good clean air that we all share.
Yes

Grue-some Diligents.
I will pay you to end your mission here on earth prematurely and go back to your home planet.
You can keep it. However, try using fundamental grammar (your last sentence is abysmal) if you want mine.
Only because I read one of your comments which was so horrendous that I lost the will to think like a sentient being and reverted back to a state of idiocy and blissful ignorance.
You can look in a mirror without fainting? (:0)+<
I am still waiting fervently for your first.
Thanks for the wonderful advice, I am sure it will be beneficial to your own demise.

Christmas-tree Diligents (you’re right, tis the season)
3 muffins and 27cents
You’d do that for me?
Was that ever in question?
Lol (well it was funny)
I shall see it presently
Try opening your eyes!

Great article Karalee. I appreciate the heads-up. Thanks so much!

Good catch. I guess at least, it makes life a bit more interesting
January 31st, 2009 at 7:18 am
He certainly adds a lot of spice to life. You won’t find his works on his profile nowadays though.
February 17th, 2009 at 10:09 pm
So what you’re saying is that Drew intentionally insults people to get views? If that’s true why is he still doing it when he doesn’t even have any articles up on his main page?
February 18th, 2009 at 9:41 am
Drew has only left a bad comment on one of my poems so far. It was a limerick and he said it was “stupid.” I can’t really take offense at that comment though. I intentionally wrote it to sound silly.
May 24th, 2009 at 9:52 am
This is a totally stupid link, waste of my time to read it… I found it in the Forum and thought I would check it out, but what a rip off it was.
Go weed your yard instead of writting. (Actually that is what I need to be doing)
-just testing your theory. BRING ON THE HITS!
May 24th, 2009 at 12:01 pm
Thanx for the click and because the writer has since left Triond.. most of his comments were deleted from this article. I’d like to stay and chat more with you but I’ve gotta go weed my yard….. NOT!!
