Hot Tips for Hot Content. Advice for Triond Writers who want to make more money from their articles without having to do more work to promote themselves.
Increase Your Triond Earnings with Less Effort
Here are 2 great reasons why you should write for Triond:
While you can’t quit your day job and live off your Triond earnings (please correct me if I’m wrong), you can and will earn something for your words and in the world of online writing that’s nothing to scoff at.
To put it in perspective (and I can only speak from my own experience) my most popular article on Triond, Australia and America: 14 Differences That Can Get You in Trouble While Travelling, has had over 36,000 hits. That’s more exposure to my writing than I could have ever imagined when I first joined Triond, but that article has earned only $26.33.
I’ve analysed my content and earnings and here’s what I’ve found:
Google trends shows which search terms are popular today and if you keep up to date you might notice certain keywords that stand out. If you have an interest or expertise in a popular topic it could provide the inspiration for a new article for Triond with some potential for popularity.
Also take a very quick look at Triond’s Hot Content list and see if there are any noticeable trends. Over time I’ve seen a propensity for popular articles with numbers in their titles, although more obscure and interesting articles are increasingly becoming popular.
It’s a simple fact that you must write about what you know, so avoid attempting to write anything merely as an attempt to be popular. If your article is not enjoyable and interesting, it will not gain momentum on any scale.
I can’t impress this upon you enough. If you are passionate about what you write, it will be immediately apparent in your article and people will be drawn to your ideas. People will return to your article to leave comments and feedback. Other Triond authors will add you to their friends list and other readers will Digg your article or share it on their bookmarking sites.
My most popular article had over 30,000 hits in one night while I was sleeping. Most of the readers came through Digg. I never lifted a finger to promote it. It just goes to show that if you write it (and they enjoy it), they will come.
Triond pays you a share of their advertising revenue. Some articles generate more advertising revenue than others according to the targeted traffic that your article attracts via commercially viable links throughout your article.
Offbeat articles tend to generate larger audiences, but there is less commercial value in humour than there is in articles about medicine and science. If you are a medical or scientific professional, or you have an interest in those fields, it will probably be in your best interest to stick to what you know rather than striving for numbers in readership. You may have a smaller audience, but your linked content will pay a higher percentage per view.
One of my first articles on Triond, Four Facts for Getting Pregnant, is a medical-based article that has been a quiet achiever continuing to attract readers slowly but surely over a long period of time. This article has had only 1,531 hits but has earned $4.40. That’s 1c every 3 hits, which is a much greater percentage than my other article which earns 1c per 13 hits. It also has longevity as a topic that will always be relevant.
If you write well and you choose interesting, relevant topics you might strike gold and hit that perfect balance between popularity and commercial value.
Have a look at some of the existing articles and publications on Triond and check out the advertising links in each article. Certain keywords generate commercial links. If you incorporate strong, commercial keywords you will make more money through Triond.
Don’t get bogged down in Keywords, however. It’s hard to predict which words will generate links in your articles. You will inevitably harm the integrity of your article if your keywords start to interfere with the flow of your writing.
Follow these simple tips for Triond and you’ll get paid for your articles, but be warned: Not every article you write will be a shooting success story. Audiences can be unpredictable.
Writing hot content for Triond is a numbers game, the more you write the more chance you have of waking up one morning to discover 30,000 people read one of your articles while you were catching up on Zs.
You never know. An event might suddenly occur in the news that draws a heap of Google searches and other search engines to something you wrote 3 months ago. I don’t know what happened recently, but all of a sudden my article, 10 Great Movies You Must See, suddenly had several thousand hits over the last couple of days, even though I wrote it a couple of months ago.
So keep writing and enjoy the passive income that Triond pays you through PayPal every month.

Very useful tips. Thanks. It’s good that you point out – people should stick to what they really know rather than posing to know about stuff they think will sell.

Excellent insights.
Your article that earned over $25.00 is an example of why writing for Triond is far more lucrative than getting paid $5.00 per article, which is a common rate for online articles.
While these earnings may take some time to accrue, still I’d rather get paid more for an article and have that article continue to earn down the road.

For a “newbie” at Triond, this is a “gem” of an article. I also have to say that I felt the “sincerity” in your words. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have inspired me to “plod on”…
