Writing your own ebook has several marketing advantages. You can extend your word by telling the reader more than you would with just an article, you can make money selling the book and you can even promote other products you have such as other ebooks or just sell affiliate products with the links.
Writing an article is not easy, it requires a decent amount of research plus you need to put all your information together in a way the average reader should understand it from the beginning.
Writing an eBook starts with the right title choice. You should invest a considerable amount of time researching the best title possible because it is the first thing the reader see and most of the times, the only thing he sees because if the title is not interesting enough, the reader will just not buy the book or download it if it’s free. The Title should be up to nine words long and as relevant to the content as possible. If you are going to write a book about article marketing, the ideal title is not “Making Money Writing Some Articles Well Done” but instead “Article Marketing: Unleash Words To Make A Fortune”. See the difference? The best title is engaging, it starts with the most important keywords and uses only the most powerful words the book writer can. Something that completely convinces the reader beyond shadow of doubt to purchase the book.
Second most important thing is the cover. Readers do judge books by their cover. If they do not like what they are seeing, they will just skip it. Visual information matters, it is a survival thing, if your eyes are not feeling good about the vision, it can be dangerous. We have not yet evolved that much. Use professional services to create a solid eBook cover.
Now the contents of the book. The book should have at least 100 pages with good content. I see some loser article marketing writers making a promise their eBook is worth a thousand dollars, the eBook just has ten pages and seven are legal notices, table of contents and irrelevant information such as the writer Bio. That move alone killed any possibility of closing a sale.
Write enough content and share deep secrets with the reader so he will want to click the affiliate links and buy the products you are advertising, making you money twice, and enabling the reader to pursue success much faster. It is a matter of sharing, the more you share with the reader, the more he will trust you in the short and long term, and the higher the chances of making business with you again.
Some marketeers hold information, they fear competition, yet the internet is so large you have no chance of being good enough to make competition that kills any other possibility of someone else to make money in the same field. As a writer, you have the obligation of sharing everything you know.
Finally spread the book the best you can. Use social networks, use article marketing, use peer to peer software, it is 100% legal, use your friends to share the book.
