How to Write Really Catchy Headlines

Connect with people emotionally.

Here’s why writing really catchy headlines is critical to your success in getting your articles viewed.

In order to rank high in the search engines your articles must have quality back links. The more sites linking back to your article the more likely it is that your article will rank high in the search engines. The higher you rank in the search engines the better your article will do in terms of visitors over time. But how do you get those quality back links?

You have to write good articles with catchy headlines. The catchy headline will make people want to click on your article and once they do if they like the article and they own a site they will give you a link.

This is the power of a really good catchy headline. It will bring in people to your article and give you a showcase for the actual article. Now if you have a catchy headline but the article is not quality it won’t help you to get the back links. No one is going to link back to you if your article does not live up to the catchy headline.  I can’t help you with the article body itself but I can show you how to create catchy headlines.

In order for a headline to work and be catchy it has to connect on some level emotionally with people. If you are writing an article about dogs and simply title it “Dogs” you probably won’t connect to people (however if you could ever get quality back links to an article titled Dogs you could potentially get tons of views as most people simply type the word dogs into search engines and if your article pops up in the top 3 you would have tons of views.) To connect to people emotionally and make them more likely to click on your article you need a catchy headline.

“Amazing Dogs of the World” is more likely to get people to click on your article than simply “Dogs”. When people see Amazing in the headline they start to connect with your article. “Really Amazing Dogs of the World” would connect people even more. “Totally Amazing Dogs You Have to See” is a top notch headline that would really get people to click on your article.

Think of all the words that evoke some type of emotion in people. Use those words in your headlines. This is how you create really catchy headlines that will connect with people and make them want to click on your articles.

Again if your article does not live up to the catchy headline it will not generate the quality back links you’ll need to make it high in the search engine rankings. But writing a catchy headline that connects with people emotionally is the first step in getting people to view your work.

A good title is always a good start, even for a bad text, haha. Seriously, I agree with you, you need to catch the attention first.

Unfortunately Triond likes to change my headlines.

Good point. The headline is the only thing the potential reader sees. If that’s interesting, then click. But I must admit that this craze for getting attention is also insane. People with sloppy content package their stuff with ‘amazing’ catchphrases. This is very annoying and a waste of time.

Yes Rana. That’s why I say if your article does not live up to the catchy headline nobody will link your article and you will not get a high Search Engine ranking with Google or the rest. My article “Hank Aaron Stats” is barely one week old and already on the 1st page in Google. That is not a catchy headline but the article already has quality links to it. So a catchy headline is great but links are more important to your SE rankings.
