How to Make Your Portfolio Page Look Great

Some simple steps that might be helpful to you in designing your profile page.

First you must choose a colour scheme that is you. This is important as the colours you choose will say something about you. Try to choose something simple that goes well with what you want to put on it.

Secondly put your information about yourself on the left hand side no matter what. Do this because this is normally where humans will look first because most of us read left to right so they will see your profile and see what you are into. This might make them become your friend.

Thirdly have your portfolio or your articles to the right of it as this is where they will look next. This might get you more article views since peoples eyes will be drawn here. Remember if they have interesting titles people are more likely to click on it.

If you are using three columns try putting your friends list or photos next. This will allow people to see who your friends are or what pictures you like. If you are just using two columns don’t worry about this step.

From here on it is pretty much up to you but try to keep things level at the bottom. This means to try to not put anything lower than everything else as it gets annoying scrolling down to see more of someone’s page when there is only just one thing there.

Would you happen to know how to increase the size of your profile picture? For some reason mine still has white lines on the top and the bottom. Check it out and you will see what I mean. I hope you can help.

Also, do you know how to add a hyperlink? I think that is what it is called. In my profile description I listed my three blogs but I do not know how to actually make it so people can just click on the name and it will take them there. Would you be able to help?
