Guidance to those who are continually searching for proven, effective ways to keep their work fresh, relevant, and consistently viewed for life. Through smart, strategic steps, you make all your work limitlessly successful.

Back in October 2008, I wrote How to Keep Your Articles in Constant Circulation. In that piece, I discussed the idea that many of your articles may experience a great volume of views when they are first published but then quickly become obsolete or forgotten while others may stay in constant circulation receiving regular views every month. This trend might lead you to wonder, was it just a fluke that some of your work was viewed in the beginning or simply a passing fad?
I believe there are many logical factors regarding this phenomenon. For example, some titles are more popular than others, choice of keywords, total collective subject matter that was published the day your work was, etc; many factors that are predictable, but others that can often be due to the luck of the draw. However, I wholeheartedly believe you have the ability to make this obstacle a non-existent problem going forward.
In this article, I wanted to go into more detail regarding the best ways to keep all your articles in constant, growing, popular circulation. In the part 1 of this article, I suggested adding links to your articles at the bottom or within the context of your new publications. And from experience, I have found this to be highly effective. Not only does it make it easier for your reader to find your work, it is another great way to market and advertise your invaluable work.

Do you notice that some of your articles are more popular than others? Do you have some articles that are consistently viewed each month? This creates a perfect opportunity to spread these views to your other work. Triond makes it convenient for writers to see which of their personal articles are receiving the most views.
Furthermore, in any successful endeavor, focusing your attention on your top generating avenues will always prove most profitable and effective. By spending time adding links to your most popular articles, you will find that overall your total views will grow exponentially. And, as these past articles are viewed more, adding links to these previous articles as well keeps the ball rolling at top speed.
As I stated in part 1, the more links to your articles, the higher they become ranked within Google’s search engine, drawing even more views and income.
In other words, if you have an article that has an excellent title and is enjoying consistently increasing views, capitalize! How can you do this? Read through the comments. Often, readers will have left you questions that can give you ideas for a part 2 article. This is exactly why B12 Shots: The Newest Energy Booster 2 was written. It was created in direct response and overwhelming need. It now has something besides the title in common with the first article; it also enjoys consistent monthly viewing.
It’s important to keep in mind that people will only keep viewing your articles if you are submitting quality, valuable work. So, in order to solidly ensure the “linking cycle” is effective, it’s vitally important to go back through your previously published work, edit and improve them all as much as you possibly can.
I have been writing for Triond for about two years now and when I look back at some of my earlier articles, I can definitely see areas that clearly need improvement.

Take time to think about unforgettable work that has left a strong impression on you. Make note of the reasons why you think they were so memorable. Then, take the time to integrate these ideas in your “needs improvement” publications. In other words, learn from the best; imitation in many ways is the greatest form of flattery. (Please note: that structure, formatting, and quality imitation is very different than plagiarism which we all know is never permissible.)
“A picture is (truly) worth a thousand words.” Where appropriate add pictures to pieces that don’t have any. Take time to check out the most popular keywords on Triond’s homepage; add them where appropriate to all your articles. Run spell checks and double check grammatical errors.
Though you might not think so, these little details make a huge difference in how your work and talents are perceived. One misspelled or misused word in the middle of an extraordinarily romantic poem can distract your readers so greatly that they opt not to read anymore of your work. By using care and proving you are a serious writer, you are showing your audience that your work is worth their time, is filled with invaluable information, beauty, etc. Thus you are opening the door to demonstrate that your other work is equally worth checking out.

Though this process is ongoing and takes a significant amount of time, effort, attention to detail, and perseverance, the payoff is measurably worth it. Be patient, work steadily and you will begin to see the difference in the views for all your work as they consistently continue to climb for both your most popular articles and previously forgotten work.
Linking, editing, and continual attention to all your work will ensure that your writing will always be viewed and enjoyed for countless years to come.
Believe, work hard and make all your dreams come true!

Great article to start the year, and serve as a reminder to everyone, thanks Liane.
I’ve actually starting revisiting my old articles even before the Christmas holidays. It’s going on well, and still a top prio for this year.
Triond is terrific in generating statistics to help us with PVs and Revs. I like it, something not done in others.
And it’s not only previous articles at stake and to revisit. For some of us who have multi-blogs, few dot coms we freelance to, this is also a good time to assess and consolidate which ones are worth it, and to look around for other better opportunities.
January 15th, 2009 at 1:11 pm
Ooops sorry, slip of the typing fingers (ah, when one rushes for a late breakfast!) I meant to write, “I’ve actually started revisiting…”

January 15th, 2009 at 4:31 pm
I didn’t know Triond allowed members to advertise links to their own articles within another completely unrelated article. Good information to know. From now on, I’ll add an “Other Links” section to the bottom of all my past and future articles.
Thanks Liane!
January 15th, 2009 at 4:33 pm

January 15th, 2009 at 5:04 pm
Liane
Ths is an excellent article. But I am like BoJack 454..I wishI new more about marketing on the computer. Classes and just sitting down and spending hours learning by tiral and error…but Not when you are on a 24/7schedule as a caregiver. However, this insn’t a dismal complaint…some day I will do all these things…but for now thanks for the good ideas, which I will try to use (one at a time) as my time permits.
January 15th, 2009 at 5:25 pm
Of course, Catelin and BoJack, it is all about trial and error and online writing is about more than posting something up and expectingpeople to read it simply because it is good!
Liane gives excellent tips that, if taken in to account, can truly revolutionise the amount of hits that you will get. As she so well points ou, getting hits starts after publish! Restricting oneself to a fingers-crossed situation will never work – whatever the qualiy of your writing!
All praise to Liane for pointing this out and giving pointers too! Most – including myself – had to learn as we went along and here it is on a plate!
Note to new online writers! Please read this and take time to acion it! It will take as much time to do this as a thousand “I will read your articles if you read mine!” spam messages!
January 15th, 2009 at 5:27 pm
Sorry about the typos – sticky fingers and slow brain!
January 15th, 2009 at 5:38 pm
way to go, liane!
January 15th, 2009 at 6:31 pm
Very useful and informative.
January 15th, 2009 at 6:50 pm
Thanks for such an interesting read. I’ve only had a couple articles that seem to still be popular but the others seem to fad as time passes… I’m going to take the things you have mentioned into consideration and go back and fix things up and whatnot. Hopefully it helps because things slowed down greatly…
January 15th, 2009 at 7:48 pm
Good ideas , thank you.

I know you are all very keen to optimize your Web sites. Why not try some brand new site that has proven very handy for my account – I now work full-time in them.
http://www.constant-content.com – pays $40 per 1000 words. Buyers email you for articles and the standards are incredible.
Also,
o.desk.com provides a great forum for aspiring authors.
You can strive in Triond and soar in the others .
Liane, I know you have it in you to excel beyond this arena although I recognise Triond as a true writer’s Web site that hones your literary smarts.
Check them out – their standards are exceptionally high – like yours . j

January 16th, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Liane, thanks for the tips of the trade. They are very much appreciated, and I amgoing to try my best to use some of them. The only thing I\’m not sure about is how to insert links, but maybe I can figure that out on my own. Thanks again! Oh Yes, some people might like to know how to make it possible to lnk back to their page from their comments. I didn\’t know how to do that until I got help with it. Maybe you could tell people how to do that too. I think I remember I was told that there is two ways to do it isn\’t there? I only use one way, but I\’m still fairly sure. What you said about spelling is sure right too. I remember one time I was reading someone\’ poetry, and they said, \”Don\’t even bother mentioning the spelling. It is good enough for me, and I have no plans of changing it.\” It was terrible spelling too, and I never went back to read any more of her poetry after that one poem.Johnny Yuma

I have made some buttons on my blog, they link to each block section of my work on Triond,I have noticed that some of my old works got hit recently, so they are working.
If anyone interested, will give you my blog address if you ask for it, then you can see them.
Brilliant guidelines, wonderful advice, thanks.
