Many writers find themselves wondering what has happened to their articles. After they have worked so hard on creating a masterpiece of work, it seems to them that once their article is published it very soon just disappears into the digital oblivion.
When you are writing online you are essentially part of the huge digital world called the internet and if you produce an article that is not in any way linked to something else, it will easily disappear into oblivion.
There are many easy ways to ensure that this fate does not happen to you and your articles.
The more places in the digital network that your article is linked to; the more chances there are that people will find it. Imagine that each link is like a finger that is pointing at your article, when people search for the subject that your article contains they will be guided by all those fingers pointing at your work.
Here are some excellent examples of how you can create those links or fingers pointing to your articles.
Produce articles that have the sort of content that many people will want to bookmark, share with their friends and reference again in the future, like this article
People will find your articles much more easily if you create for your articles more visibility on the digital network, by using these techniques
Guide your readers to your profile and portfolio of articles by putting a text link in your articles, like this, My Profile and Portfolio of Articles
Market your writers profile and articles by promoting them at some, if not all, of these great places
Read and comment on other writers articles, which will create another finger pointing back to your profile and they will do the same for you, increasing your article page views and your popularity.
Inform all of your friends and family that you are a writer and provide them with the link to your profile in an email, text message or by word of mouth. Let them know that you would very much like them to read all of your work and give you genuine feedback.
Put the sort of tags in your articles that are featured in the Hot Tags list.
Be seen on a regular basis in the Hot Content list by creating articles on subjects that will put you there.
Put links in your articles that will help your readers to find other related articles that you have written.

Great advice! My only problem is learning how to use some of these social networks. I get onto these sites and cannot figure out how best to organize myself on them. I do not want to just put all my own stuff on there, they might not like that!
