A massive percentage of the Triond writers’ population has written an article titled something like “How To Earn A Lot On Triond” or maybe even “Get More Views On Triond” or something else along those lines, if you get my drift. I looked into it deeper to see why there are so many articles of that kind around.
I started writing on Triond on November 2007. I only published four articles on the lead up February 2008 and then, believe it or not, I didn’t return back to Triond for about 1 and a half years till late June 2009. Some of the reasons that contributed to me not writing for almost 1 year and more were me being busy with school commitments and no availability of time but the major reason was, I was discouraged by the low views and earnings. So I thought, why bother? How wrong was I!
Come June 2009, it was the summer and I thought, why not write a few articles? I logged into Triond and I noticed that my very first article had earned $16 within about a year! I was really pleased and that just fuelled me to write more. So a wrote a few more articles and success wasn’t great but then, I wrote one article that really powered me to considerable success out of all of the articles I’d written before. Guess what the article was titled? How To Get Noticed On Triond – A Lot!

Yes, these kinds of articles are titled “Earn a Lot on Triond” or “Get Rich With Triond” or “Become Popular on Triond” or something or the other relating to earning a lot of money or getting loads of views on Triond. Some go to the extent of referring to other online writing sites too. We’ve seen them before, we still see them and we’ll probably end up seeing loads more in the future. And I can assure you, nearly every single article that is written about popularity on Triond will have got a lot more views than some of the others they might have written. So why is this?
Writers on Triond are hungry for success. Even prolific ones and the not-so-famous-yet ones do yearn to have their chance in the Triond spotlight where they can become rich quickly. Can we blame them? No. Every writer wants to become successful. No one writes if you aren’t getting any satisfaction about it. If you are the kind who gets no views and no comment and no articles for your 50 articles, you might as well not bother writing and just write to yourself every night. But this rarely happens. Many writers leave Triond because they can’t hit the top spots, some slave on until they do and others don’t look into how they can better their writing and stay where they are. But no matter who this writer is, he or she just WANTS to have that one special article to become famous.

These people then set on to some research, looking to see which article is it that gains the most views and if you Google it, you will find that some of the most popular articles are advice articles on how to get rich quickly on online writing sites. Most writers, who want that popular article, will use the advice they find and see in their own articles where they are going wrong and they will write an article like this. Articles that teach you how to get rich on online writing sites then become popular with those who new or amateur writers want to establish themselves on Triond. It’s all a vicious circle really. People set an example to new people who then go on to mimic it and teach others. At every stage, people learn and pass on valuable information adding their own bit to it.
The ‘earn on Triond’ articles are extremely popular and these can be extended to other articles too (like how to make it to the hot content or articles like this one!) and almost every Triond writer will take advantage of it, whether he or she is reading it or writing it. If you are someone who is reading this article, I’m pretty sure you HAVE written an article along these lines, sharing your valuable knowledge that you have gained from experience and that you learned when you made that article popular by writing it. In reply to the title of this article – Have you written an article like ‘How To Earn A Lot On Triond’? In true Obama style, I can confirm a lot of us will answer – YES, WE HAVE!

There is another reason why people keep writing these articles other than to gain views. People keep asking questions about how to get more views, money, on Hot topics, etc.
I think these articles are great and helpful, but I also think people should always point out that it is good writing that will win out in the end and there is no easy way to make money on Triond if you are not willing to put in the effort and time.

I’m sure this will get plenty of views too! If I’m honest about the ‘friends’ aspect of the site; if people do not bother to comment, or make no contact after a few months….I remove them!!! I spend a lot of time looking at other users work and always leave a comment if I feel it’s relevant. If that is never reciprocated, they have to go!! Time is precious after all!

Very good points. Some of these articles are very encouraging, when one sees what others have accomplished. At other times, you learn some neat techniques, which serve you well.
These types of articles are win-win in my books.

I haven’t really written an article on these lines.. and when I do, it is either I start to see some good hard credible moolah rolling in. LOL. But yeah what you mentioned is really true. That’s the trick of the trade, eh?

To get page views I try to write several informative articles a week and to read and leave comments on as many articles as I can a week, giving priority to my friends.
So, far it’s working nicely. I manage only about seven articles a week.

Nice tips! I have just published one article like that and within few hours, it has become popular article on Webupon. You’re right, this type of article is one of the most wanted article on Triond.

Agree with you there, though I’ve never tried it myself. ‘How to make money’ types attract people like moths to a fire – I’m a moth too there! Will definitely try to write some articles on these lines, though like you my initial run on Triond was a bit disappointing – too few views.
