Get Noticed on Triond – Lot!

You’ve seen these before but this one will really send you speeding towards that career in writing that you’ve always wanted. The bare minimum to get yourself noticed on Triond.

When I joined Triond, I really wanted to get money – a lot and quick but as a teenager, life isn’t so easy sometimes. So after about a year and a half’s observation, I decided to compile a list of things that I thought would make me more popular on Triond so that more people would “like” my articles.

Tags

Yes, we love tags! The more tags you have for your article, the better its chances are to come up on a search engine. I have this triangle method that I use where first, you use tags that are the title of your article, so lets say the title of your article is “Exams are bad”, tag your article as ‘exams’ and ‘bad’. The next level of the triangle method involves you using tags that are to do with the article. Look for key words in the article and make those words the tag. Finally, on the third level of the triangle method, go for a very broad perspective. So use tags like ‘education’ or ‘schooling’ or ‘dreadful’. Go wild on tags!

Friends

Having friends on your account means that you can quickly access their work because it will be easily found, but not only that, if you are some other person’s friend, it means that they can access your work easily too. It’s mutual, you see. Also, all of the friends you may have on Triond will be people like you, waiting to get their voice heard and waiting for people to read their articles. They might share similar interests to you in terms of your writing style so actually, it improves your chances of having your article read.

A Symbiotic Relationship

In simple terms, this means that the more you read your friends’ work, the more likely your work will be read. This isn’t just applicable to your friends on Triond, but if you happen to read an article, and the author of that article isn’t your friend, leave a comment on his or her article and they will come back to your article and leave one too. Then you can add the author to your friends list, thus improving your network

 Interest

To generate interest, there are certain guidelines to make your article aesthetically more pleasing. The use of pictures means that your brain can respond to visual aids, something that improves your interest in a certain thing and helps you to remember it better. The use of letters or words that are in bold, italics or are underlined bring attention to what you are trying to get across. Videos make the article more interactive and colourful too so they are quite handy. Using links of other websites in your article may trigger interest because if a person likes what you wrote in your article, they may want to know more by referring to other links and making them read on in your article. A word of warning – don’t overdo it! If you stuff a bunch of things into one article, many senses in your brain are triggered and it will turn a reader off because it is too much at one time.

 The Article

Write about what you know. And write about what you love. Write about something that you generally feel strongly about. Your article can be one that informs and explains certain things or it can be an opinion article where you voice your feelings about something. Both have their pros and cons. In an information article, interest can be generated as much as you want if you use images, facts and figures and can be as imaginative as you like but the problem you risk is running out of enough facts. You don’t want to plagiarise anything so information articles can be a bit iffy if you don’t have enough to say. Opinion articles are great because you can say what you feel without running the risk of plagiarism or running out of things to say but if you get too passionate in what you are going to say, it could get a bit boring for the reader seeing that the reader isn’t involved. Also, keep the length of your article (whatever it might be) a decent length. Short ones are good but in a short article every word you use should matter. Otherwise, it might be short but a bit pointless because the message wont be sent across fully. Long articles are boring with a capital B. No one wants to read them but if you do have a long article and there is no other alternative, make sure that your choice of information, language and opinions are clever. Being funny is good! Also, for longer articles, paragraphs and images help to break it down a lot

And Finally, Write, Write and Write

Never give up on writing. The more you articles write, the more you will get noticed. Write about a wide range of things or if you choose to specialise more, do it that way so that you will become popular in one particular place. Keep writing so that you know your strong points and weak points. If you see that some of your articles don’t have many visits, avoid that type of writing or that theme of articles.

Most of all, good luck and happy writing!

Nice Job, I only came to Triond just recently as I am busy trying to do blogging for money, but am totally lost at the technical stuff. I check Triond occasionally now, because it almost seemed pointless with only earning cents and not being able to publish your articles elsewhere. I was encouraged by your article though, and will try to find the time in my busy life to still post here. Thanks,

You are definitely right about tags. Tags, tags and more tags. And having links in your article is good, too. As far as articles go, I’d add that the article should be about the reader, what the reader wants to read.

Now this might present a problem. But if the writer is passionate about something, it is sure that somewhere out there in the blogosphere other people are interested in it, too. Your article points all of this out nicely.

Nicely written! I recently wrote an article that I didn’t think would do good. It has only been for about one hour and I noticed it had a like and a comment in addition to my name on the friends list of a frequent hot-content submitter. It does pay off guys, trust me.
The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that when you get an article published, the first day does great in terms of views and comments. The second day doesn’t do so well (most of the time), let alone the rest of the time. Sometimes, it’s helpful to write something that is coming up in a while to avoid that kind of neglecation (such as holidays etc.).
You really do write well and I hope you continue always. Good luck!
