Four Reasons I Find it Worthwhile to Publish on Triond

I’ve debated within myself whether or not Triond is worth publishing my works on — and here are four reasons I’ve found that do make it WORTHWHILE. Not for money as you can read here. What a great opportunity Triond gives creative people.

  1. Since publishing on TRIOND and receiving just a few cents for each article / photo / picture / poem / song – I’ve TRULY learned to appreciate those few cents!! An advance of $500 for a novel has never meant what that little amount each month has meant – (sometimes not enough to “send”, but to save till next month!)
  2. I’m not writing and publishing on TRIOND for money, but to improve my craft and also for the good feedback I’ve received here
  3. MOST OF ALL, for me, it is that, being prolific in many areas, it feels really good to be able to SEE my work / craft — “in print” (OK — on screen / out in the world) and to know that each click means that someone has taken the time to look. And, who knows, someone may find encouragement / rest from stress — from my tapping my creativity into my computer and sending it to Triond!
  4. Is it worth it? I’ve wavered over the time I’ve been with Triond, wondering about this, and just this month I decided — a big YES! Creatively, YES – it’s worth so much to me that I have somewhere to PUBLISH, be READ, VIEWED and HEARD — the stories; poems; music and songs are not just vegetating, “hidden in a small corner” but are there for any who want to take a look or have a read! THIS, indeed, is WORTH so much to me!

Thank you to all a Triond for all you do – for such a worthwhile place for creative people!

One reason I like Triond is because I have so many ideas floating around in my head that just don’t fit on my blogs. But to be honest, I did pick this site because the opportunity to earn seems greater than with other sites I’ve checked into.

I love the feedback from other writers. And I too find it fulfilling to watch that amount increase, even if only a cent or 2 a day!

Thanks Carolyn. You’re right, it’s not about the money. The important parts are the feedback and the chance to grow as a writer.

I love this article, it says everything I feel. My few cents have made a $ or 2 and they have been enough for me to buy a graphic kit every now and then for digiscrapbooking at $2, both my Internet hobbies pay for themselves and my love of writing is ‘out of the closet’ as yours Carolyn.

There are good points here. I’m new to Triond and this is encouraging.

I just love writig. I haven’t even made enough to get one check yet, so if that was the only reason I was posting here I would just pack my marbles and go home. Granted that the frst check will look really good and I will be laughing all the way to te bank.

    Great Work here Carolyn

Thanks for your comment, Johnny. At this date I am marvelling even more at the great platform creative people are given by Triond! Where else can one write something; take a photo; paint a picture; write a song or poem — and the same day have it published? If there were a living to be made, that would be wonderful, let’s believe in it.

I so agree, it’s nothing to do with the money, it’s the freedom to be yourself and to make great friends online who inspire you and motivate you to continue. I love this site and the people on it.

Writing to writers is what breathing is to most people. If you are a creative type, your bliss is in expressing that creativity. While other people are busy making cash, writers are busy creating characters.
