Could something as simple as focusing on the article description improve your payout? Here are seven ways I pledge to do better.
It is an easy mistake to make. You are submitting your article to Triond. You have taken care in perfecting your article, but you are in a hurry when submitting your article. As you fill out the submit file information, you key your title and cut and paste the first few lines from your article into the description. Or maybe you do not even take the time to do that. Maybe you just key a one line description. It is nothing catchy, just something descriptive.
I just took a look at how my articles did last month here on Triond. I found an interesting trend. Those with catchier more interesting descriptions got more hits. I am taking the following pledge in order to help increase my article hits.
Here are a few examples of what not to do when writing a description.
“Westarn adventure in the sumer”
“A day from my vacation.”
“This article describes how to plant a tree”
“Do you yearn for adventure in the Wild West? It can be found at Montana’s Cripple Creek Dude Ranch.”
“Tandem hang gliding could be for you. Here is how this seventy year old strapped on, jumped, and survived hang gliding at Grandfather Mountain.”
This is a really simple way to make more money on Triond. It takes time and effort to produce an article. Your title and description are the two things that readers see before choosing to enter your article. The title should succinctly let your reader know what the article is about. Your creativity can be unleashed on the description. How about joining me this month in trying to improve our descriptions? Let’s all take advantage of Triond’s generously sized description area. It’s a great way to promote our articles and pull in readers.

Really fantastic tips Melissa. I have gone back and changed the descriptions a bunch of times when I actually put myself in the readers position.
