There are a number of profiles here at Triond that make me wonder why Triond did not set up the ability to flag profiles along with content for inappropriate material at the site.
Triond has created a flagging system for inappropriate content found in our writing community. Used correctly this can be a tool that will eventually make the site better overall. This does not condone those users that are using the system incorrectly or vindictively to hurt another writer. This tool was designed to eliminate spamming, inappropriate language, adult content and pictures and other communication that does not have a place within our community. However, when they developed this particular system of cleaning up the site for this certain type of content they overlooked an extremely important element that can also benefit our writing community, flagging inappropriate profiles.
I have personally witnessed inappropriate language, spamming and especially the naked pictures of women which are offensive to me when found in profile information. Profiles are representative of bio information for freelance writers on the site and should be professional. I don’t enjoy seeing this material and feel these should also be capable of the same flagging process. There is a time and place for this caliber of profile information. Unfortunately, it is not on an article writing site like Triond. These inappropriate profiles should definitely be capable of flagging to have them identified and eliminated as part of the process Triond has fashioned for cleaning up the site.
I don’t want to point fingers at these writers that want to construct their profile material in on this platform. You can certainly do whatever you wish. Though, based on the details provided with the Triond flagging program these inappropriate profiles should be flagged and removed from the Triond writing site.
Are there other Triond writers that feel the same as I do about some of the profiles and information that they contain? I don’t want to see bare breasts as I network among our professional writing community.
I am not a prude and don’t profess to be better than any other writer on this platform. However, as a professional freelance writer I joined the community because I felt this was a professional platform where we could publish article content that delivered quality relevant material on a professional level. Having these types of profiles constructed and representative of our writing community is just wrong and I seriously wish that Triond would consider delivering the ability to flag profiles that are also inappropriate for the site.
Triond is slow for making a lot of changes and when or even if we will see the capability to clean these up is yet to be seen. Still, I can say the sooner the better the site certainly will be overall when we can flag the inappropriate profiles here at Triond.

I stopped writing for some months when this you spoke of and the forum got out of control. Now I come back to find no forum and a flag button.Id like to think that as as writer no matter the leval we must uphold a sense of decency in our chosen craft. I dont want to see nudity, messages trying to get you to do what you dont need and yes even a bad profile put on Troind for the wrong reasons. The perfect example….a profile is on here trying to get me to use their newly launched online pharmacy. This isnt
what Triond is for and I dont trust online pharmacies.Cant we all get along and do what we signed onto to Triond to do and that is to write and help out other fellow writers?

I agree that we just should do what we are supposed to do. Triond want us to do as much as possible, so their system has to do as less as possible.
I joined like 2 weeks ago and this is at least how it seems to be from my point of view.

Thank you! We really do not need to contribute to the spam nuisance by allowing them here. They have more than enough avenues to spread their “message”!

You have good points. Writers in triond should be professional in manner. They should not post profile that would debase their own status as writers. Triond should remove them from its list.

Spam and adult content degrade the site for advertisers, even on profile pages. Google’s Internet assessors certainly look at such things. I believe Triond wants to know about it before the advertisers do. Contact them.
