These are list of some of the most popular types of articles you can see in any publications…
Whether in magazines, newspapers, or even blogs, catching readers’ attention is a tricky task of writers. Sometimes, our own interests are compromised just to satisfy what others want us to write about. Instead of wasting your time whining about the task, why not take it for your advantage? Consider it as an opportunity to improve your versatility and flexibility as a writer.

One way to become a well-versed writer is by embracing a variety of types of article. Writing same type of article will not only limit your chances of attracting more readers, but it will also make your writing sound monotonous. So, here are five of the most popular types of article you could see in any forms of publications;
1) Soliloquy Type
This type of article is fun in a sense that it is like writing a diary. Usually, it uses the first person ‘I’. Conversations are also invoked by having question and answer monologue of the writer. Phrases like “Oh, what am I gonna do now? Alright then, this is what I’m going to do “are observed in this type.
2) Inspirational Type
The vivid example of this is the popular self-help articles we see on magazines about how to enhance looks. Inspirational narratives, personal essays of survival, and articles on faith belong to this type as well.
3) Roundup Type
In this type, you provide some information based on facts or certain issues with your own comments and opinions about it. Book review and movie review are examples of roundup type of article.
4) List Type
This article of mine is an example of list type, wherein several related pieces of information are put together. Though this is considered to be one of the easiest types of article to write, it still has to follow the general rule of writing article. It should have the introduction, the body (which is the list with a brief description), and the conclusion.
5) How-To Type
This type of article tells the reader how to do something. Most people love to read articles that they could particularly apply. If you are to write about how to cook a particular food wherein the sequence is important, then each step should be numbered. Instructions should also be specific and simple.
So next time you’re stuck in front of your computer or with your fancy notebook and felt like an idea is bursting to come out, ask yourself first… how am I supposed to write this idea? One idea could be presented in different types. And not you know 5 of them. Make a different choice every time you are about to write. This will not only expand chances of readability, it will also put your skills in writing into a wider horizon…!

Format is just as important as content. The hardest part I find in writing is enhancing the topics I write about. I enjoy writing to share the topics I know of first hand. I am hoping to l learn all I can in life and share it.
