I joined AC even though I had read many complaints. I wanted to give it a fair trial. I wrote four articles, and was paid for them, but have just taken down all my personal info and deleted the bookmark. I spent a lot of time on the forums trying to see who was just griping, and whether the complaints had any validity. I decided that AC has just become too difficult to write for, the site has a lot of problems that aren't being addressed, and there is very little communication from the staff, no matter how serious the problems are.

I don't think you are alone with this frustration about AC. I have read many comments about AC in other forums before.

Just keep on doing what you're doing best: writing!

I couldn't agree more with you there. They are just turning into a bunch of a%%holes and what for? I am on the verge of leaving them because today I got a comment for a member who has over 900,000 views saying that my articles about the Bach Flower Remedy are childish and stupid. You can all have a look at them here on Triond and let me know what you think. The funny thing is that this girl/woman who said that they are stupid and childish has nothing but tips and tricks of beauty care. Now that is what I call stupid and childish, but yet she still managed to get all those pageviews.

I was a member of AC for a while but I dislike the way they communicate to their authors (because they do not communicate). You make them all their money and they pay you nothing. They are too corporate and they know nothing about publishing or writing. They are setting themselves up to be sued and disliked in the name of plagiarism and because they are too strict in what they want from the writer. Personally I think they want to learn their writers performed plagiarism acts so they can take everything and keep all the profit. They make threats and but I don't think they have the guts to follow through because they are more concerned with their profit then that of the writer.
