Extraordinary Ideas From Ordinary People

The title implies that we are ordinary. I feel that my family at Triond is anything but ordinary.

Famous people are quoted daily, but one does not have to be famous to contribute quotable quotes. Writers at Triond are proof of that fact. I have learned much from my fellow writers at Triond and selecting just one sentence from any of their knowledgeable contributions was very difficult, so I am sure the reader could easily add more.

Ed Moore encourages communication in this line of a touching poem “Somehow you thought I knew.” We should not assume someone knows our heart felt emotions. As writers we have strong needs to communicate. Unfortunately there are those who lock their deepest feelings up tightly within whether it is from fear or inability we need to help them learn to express them.

Anne Lyken-Garner encourages us to be our best selves “Sacrifice of self alleviates the soul of greed and petty worries about material gains.”

With these words Lanne reminds us that loved ones never truly leave us because they live within our hearts: “Back to a much happier time, when life was not a strain, back to when you were so vibrant, and could walk without such pain.”

Liane Schmidt addresses emotional turmoil head on “when you accept your life you must address all potential facets for without doing so, you are simply living a fairytale.”

“The study of words over a lifetime normally allows for a lively conversation among persons of similar interests in word mastery.” Nelson Doyle

Icy Cucky shows her love and insight in expressing her child’s deep felt emotions “When missing you, I look at my clothes it’s like your hands touch me. I feel love and I feel all right!” The courage and love show through these spoken words.

Good insight from Jason Lusk “A writer who’s blind to his or her own emotions isn’t a writer.”

Chan Lee Peng said a mouthful in one sentence: “Attitude is a marvelous thing as it has miraculous power.”

Lucy Lockett tells it like it is “At the end of the day, we must live with knowledge that what we are doing is true; otherwise, we would not do it.”

Quiet Voice proves you can be quiet and still not be silent “I am if anything, honest. Mrs. Clinton’s campaign reminds one, of the Tower of Babel.” What a powerful analogy.

Darlene MacFarlane reminds us that we are after all human and need to turn to a higher power for assistance; “Prayer is an indispensable element.”

Louie Jerome reminds us to be in harmony with nature: “All creatures and plants in creation are considered to be equal, each fitting into the system according to its individual characteristics and abilities.”

B. Radley puzzles over some of life’s mysteries in her statement and article dedicated to: “Life is full of “what if’s’.”

Alexa Gates is not only a good student, but humble and grateful too as she credits her great grandmother with her success. “I know that she didn’t waste her breath on me because I’m going to be inducted in the NHS at my school.” You go girl.

Dee Huff is so astute at explaining how it is; “But life throws curve balls at us
and then I have to run, sideways just to catch them, before the job’s been done.” Who hasn’t experienced this, but perhaps not worded it as well?

“Do not ever try to hinder another person’s calling, instead spend your time pursuing yours” encourages Jupiter King.

Asian Poet offers remarkable loyalty “You will always be my friend
Even if I can’t be yours.”

M.C. Johnson uplifts us with her words “Warm sunlight kisses my cheek in welcome
beckoning me to meet the morning. I do so with a smile.”

With wisdom older than his years, Jared provides us with this advice to follow after a car accident “Although you may think it wise to talk with the other driver about the accident, you shouldn’t talk to them unless it is necessary.”

Thank you, E.T. Barton for helping us turn the tables on the bullies, our creditors “When a collector says they cannot send you a letter verifying whatever they are telling you, they are lying to you so that they can get their own way.”

I think Valli sums up it up for a lot of us “I really enjoy working with and for Triond, as each article not only gives me money, but also immense knowledge on things I probably would have never known.”

The writers at Triond are not slouches. There is a lot to be learned from their content, and I am honored to stand among them. Many new and talented writers join the ranks daily, and I know they will be just as honored.

The book shown below is based upon quotations from ordinary people found in every walk of life, and every age from 5 to 95. I am going to share a few with you, and I am sure that you will agree that our quotes are just as impressive.

From someone 53 years old:

“I’ve learned that after age 50 you get the furniture disease. That’s when your chest falls into your drawers.”

From a 14 year old:

“I’ve learned that a good feeling gets even better when it’s shared.”

From a 59 year old:

“I’ve learned that you can make a dime dishonestly, but that it will cost you a dollar later on.”

From a 5 year old:

I’ve learned that goldfish don’t like jello.

From a 51 year old:

I’ve learned that kind words and good deeds are eternal. You never know where their influence will end.”

From a 79 year old:

“I’ve learned that life is like a scooter car: not much happens unless you do some peddling.”

From a 47 year old:

“I’ve learned that every great achievement was once considered impossible.”

From a 68 year old:

“I’ve learned that you shouldn’t compare yourself to the best others can do, but to the best you can do.”

From a 27 year old”

“I’ve learned that you can do something in an instant that can give you a heart ache for life.”

I think that these quotes point out that we are never too old or too young to learn if we but keep our hearts and minds open, and what better place that in the pages of Triond. Here is to good reading, writing and learning.

That book looks so good. Some of the comments made me laugh. You are so nice to write such lovely things about us all, but there was one author missing from that list, and her name is Judy Sheldon. Your articles are so varied and sometimes have so much depth and feeling, so I think that your entry should be: Judy Sheldon explains about the power of love ‘It is only in giving of yourself that you truly find the power of love. Love has to be given away to come back in its most powerful form. Why wait for Valentine’s Day? Give some love today.’

Dee, I am honored and touched by your comment.
I meant to include Nick also. In jumping back and forth from article to article and all of Triond’s nooks and crannies I forgot to include one for Nick. I loved the story he told about the young man who did not live up tod potential because of his mother’s abuse “In silence he answered “I might have become a doctor if you’d only exercised a little more patience with me…”” I thought the story was powerful.
There is so much talent at Triond…..Thanks again, Dee & take care.

    This is wonderful.

You should make the quotes you collected into a book.

    Dear Judy,

This is one of the best, most beautiful ideas and articles I have read within Triond so far. Beautiful because it truly exemplifies how important and invaluable each and every person’s thoughts, work, etc are. Not just those with well known names, but every person. True angels do exist – you are proof of that.

Thank you with all my heart for including a quote from me as well – this means more to me than words can ever fully say. There is one quote that I truly love, it goes something like this:

“Everyone you meet has something you crucially need to know – listen.”

My very best wishes and blessings to you always.

    Sincerely,

    -Liane Schmidt.

p.s. I can definitely help you with any questions you may have regarding Yuwie.

Alexa, Asian Poet, Icy, and Liane, If you each had not been so inspiring, this article would not been possible. It is I that thanks you. Liane, I am listening, there is so much to gain.

Praises for an excellent job! I thoroughly enjoyed this article. I loved your renditions of each writer’s words and I have to admit that I saw some of these excerpts differently after reading your article. You have a true talent. This is one of the best articles I have read to date on Triond.

Another wonderful one Judy! This must have taken you ages and ages to do. This encompasses so many insightful and profound thoughts. One of the few very original ideas I’ve seen.

Darlene and Anne, this was a labor of love. Your words have meant and continue to mean so much to me that I wanted a way to tell everyone “keep writing, you are definitely worth reading: thanks”

Sad music playing in background as I just finished the most honorable article that has yet but humbled my soul.

I agree that our Triond family is a talented bunch of bright and eager writers whom are always learning from each other. Let’s not ever forget those fine people who have worked dually behind the scenes to make Triond possible for the rest of us, “The Triond founders and staff”.

    Thank you.

Once again, Judy, you’ve given a great gift. In a world where appreciation is disregarded so much, we know what a miracle such a token is when it comes. You know, many times you can come to know someone through their art, even if you’ll never meet them in person. I’m glad to know you. If that makes sense. And don’t forget: your work here is greatly appreciated. You do have a gift for writing, and your work shows that hard work pays off. A beautiful piece, this one. A labor of love, huh? I bet so. Worth every keystroke, though.

Jason, you honor me with such fine words, but I am more honored to know you. I truly do believe that we “know” each other through our work, as a tree is known for it’s fruit.

    Judy,

I just wanted to tell you how impressed and inspired I was by your article. I think that all new members should read this piece.

I recently joined triond and my reception here has been warm and wonderful. Many of the people who have befriended me are the same people that you write about. I really think that I am going to like it here. :)

    Thanks!
