Earn More Money on Helium

This has some tips and information for those who want to earn more money on Helium.

Helium.com has been around since 2006. Yet before this Helium had another website which launched in 2002. And it has attracted so many writers from around the globe during the five years it has existed. But at the same time, it has also discouraged many users in different ways and one of them is the earnings we generate through our articles that we put our socks and minds into. Yes I agree! For those who haven’t yet registered to this website, I can give you some helpful tips and reviews about this website. But don’t stop reading now! Read on to know the good and bad points of this website. Its not all bad!

First of all, Helium.com is a website where writers write articles and they can earn money from them. The earnings can be from a cent to anything higher.

But we all have complained about the earnings we generate, right? Yes! A lot of writers only earn a few cents or less for their articles. The work we put into those articles earn very little! And those who live in the UK like me, a cent is only half a penny! Now that is just what kids can earn for their good behaviour. But for us, its like we are poor and that pennies are going to change our lives.

But hopefully my advice will help you boost your earnings. But first here is my little story with Helium.

I joined Helium in May 2008. I was very interested to write articles and make money out of it. So I started submitting work! I got to a total of 39. Yes that isn’t bad for a starter. My earnings grew from 00.01 to 00.11 during the weeks. Yes it took me more or less a week to earn at least 2 cents! I was very discouraged! For the rest of May I earned a total of 3 cents. In June I earned 5 cents and most of July I earned only 3! I gave up and thought it was a waste of time until I read an article which made me start over. It was 23 rd July and I REALLY started submitting! The end of July came and the earnings went from 3 to 10 cents! Now that is higher than what I expected! By the middle of August, I had a total of 100 articles and I earned 41 cents for that whole month. Yes! Much higher! The earnings had gone from earning a cent in a week to a few cents a week! And surprisingly, I started earning 2-5 cents a day! At this moment I have 119 articles and my earning total is 81 cents. Ok still it is not good enough but it has risen much more than before! Before I began writing frequently, my earnings were only 12 cents! Big difference, right?

Make sure you write hundreds or even thousands of articles! That way your income can rise higher and you can earn residual income throughout your lifetime. Thousands could earn you more like dollars! So get your pens and work on them articles now!

However, do not waste time writing articles which will not be of any interest. Pick good channels such as Business. I have written over 39 poems in the Creative Writing channel on Helium and nearly all of them have earned nothing! It was a waste!

When you write articles, be positive to write on those which appear in front pages. These get the most page views and can you earn you more! The amount of page views is unknown. No one knows how much you need to earn at least a cent. But I tell you that it isn’t something like 10 page views. It would be more!

very informative,I have 15 articles at Helium,i’ve written these articles 4 months ago in a span of one week,5 were ranked number 1 before and have accumulated an earning of less than $2,i wanted to write more there but i’m so busy with my job,have no spare time to do so in short because i also write here at Triond.thanks for the wonderful tips,if time allows i’ll write again for Helium.thanks

I sometimes find Helium to be tedious, and I wonder just how great that whole ratings thing is. I mean, think about it, you could have someone who doesn’t speak your language very well and may be only half-literate pushing your article to the bottom of the heap, bansished. LOL ok that’s melodramatic, but still that’s how I feel sometimes. I have articles that have pretty good ratings on there, then I have ones that were worse than terrible. And at first I didn’t earn anything. I’m up to seventy-five cents now, and thy don’t pay out ’til you get to twenty-five dollars. A little hard to see the light there. Anyway, there’s my two cents (get it?) about Helium, even though I still use it and go there every day.

I ditto Trina, I have good rankings with my poetry and had, yes had a writing star, they then made changes to how they pay you from one star and above and poof my star went overnight on the day they were to start paying more, but my rankings were the same ??? I have a silver premium writer medallian now, but have 22 cents in the pot since May 08. I also have a 5 star ranking for rating, I am not too impressed with them I am afraid. I earn more on Triond by writing nothing and allowing my work from the past earn for me. I wrote one article for another company and got $7.50, I have written 3 more at the same price in 2weeks. well it seems a bit not worth it…for triond u can get cents but it has a higher revenue and your old articles and poems/still make money,i have one thing that was written the of middle of oct. and has made over 60cents so why would i go to helium and hope to make 2cents turn into 30cents in 4 to five mnths,maybe im not getting it but i will stick to triond and yes get lovely advice from liane schmidt….she has the secret to sucess!,sincerely ,gabbi….thanx any way!

another thing….that is alot of time put into writing for here on triond i may be at 35 articles/poems and more comming and i am not rich but i am way over 85 cent,to write 1000 article a month,i think my kids would be neglected!!LOL,very sweet of u to offer advice on this site thou,gabbi

If you write for Helium then you shouldn’t forget about upfront payments. If you write to eligible channels you can make good money there. Remember that if you have written between 4 and 29 articles the upfront pay is 50 cents, if you have between 30 and 100 is a dollar, and so on, plus the monthly revenue, which is not much, is true. There is also a bonus for being the first to write to a title, 1 dollar. I have about 15 articles, all of them in eligible channels and I’ve made about 15 dollars.
There’s a downside to Helium, though, the system takes quite a long time to understand (rating and writing stars, badges, eligible articles or not, etc) and due to a recent change, they only pay upfront to those articles rated in the top 5 of an article.
